Kaley Wake: My goal in life is to create songs that help someone overcome any struggle they’re going through.

1. Introduce yourself(tell about yourself & who you are)

Hi, my name is Kaley Wake but I like to go by my middle name Jade. I’m 17 years old and live with my parents and 3 other little siblings. I’m a bit introverted but my close friends are able to bring out my fun side. I listen to music and dance 24/7!

The thought that I could be something bigger than myself inspires me. My favorite music group inspires me and helps me believe I can do anything as long as I work hard and want it. Even my mom inspires me because she’s been a superhero my whole life. So many things in the world are inspirational, you just have to look close enough.

2. What inspires you everyday?

The thought that I could be something bigger than myself inspires me. My favorite music group inspires me and helps me believe I can do anything as long as I work hard and want it. Even my mom inspires me because she’s been a superhero my whole life. So many things in the world are inspirational, you just have to look close enough.

3. What are some words of wisdom you live by everyday?

“You woke up today, you have another chance today. Make the best of it.”

4. What are some goals in life that you have that you’d like to complete?

My goal in life is to create songs that help someone overcome any struggle they’re going through. I have a music group who has helped me with their music. I have spent many nights blasting their songs through my headphones, connecting to their words and gaining strength from them. Now I want to do the same for others.

5. What are some struggles you’ve faced and how did you overcome it?

I’ve struggled with body issues my whole life and I’m still overcoming it. An eating disorder is something that never goes away, and you have to fight everyday to improve.

6. What is a way you’d like to make an impact in the world?

I write song lyrics that I want to share one day, but I’m still working on creating sound for my words. I write about depression, mental health issues, hope, the future, confidence, finding yourself, etc. I also love interpretation in lyrics so that a song is able to actually mean something to everyone who listens to it, no matter their background.

7. What else would you like to tell the world about you?

I would like to tell the world to lift me up in my journey, and help support me through my dream of songwriting.
