Kira: Don’t ever give up on something you really want to achieve, even if right now it seems unreachable .

1. Introduce yourself(tell about yourself & who you are)

Hey y’all! Im Kira and a single mom of a 14-month baby girl named Ella! I grew up on Kimball, MN & the St. Cloud area! I graduated in 2018 from high school and since then I have been attending college at SCTCC & been working in a group home settings, nursing home jobs, and assisted living care since the day I turned 18 it has always been a passion of mine. In my free time ( which I have very little of) I enjoy watching The First 48 & playing outside with my daughter. I also enjoy finding sand volleyball leagues and going out with friends!

2. What are your passions in life that you’ve always wanted to do?

My passion is caring for people Who can’t care for themselves! I’ve always wanted to be and RN or LPN, however this is pending and on hold as I had my daughter last year and school has been taking me a little longer to get through all the prerequisite courses. I do have my AA business degree though thanks to going post secondary in high school. One day I’d love to be a travel nurse all over the world helping out people in 3rd world countries.

3. What are some goals in life you are currently completing?

Honestly, my biggest goal is to be the best mom to my daughter and assuring she’s happy, healthy and as smart as she can be. Another goal I’ve been working on is still school, however like I said it’s taking me a little longer due to being a single mom who works around 40-50 hours a week to make ends meet. But I’m still doing it so that counts for something !!

4. What is a positive message you’d like to share with people around the world?

Don’t ever give up on something you really want to achieve, even if right now it seems unreachable . God will pave the way to accomplish your goals.

5. What is it like being a mother, how does it feel and what experiences would you like to share?

Honestly, when I was pregnant with my daughter, I feared about the type of mom I’d be and how I was going to do it. I did know I wanted to be better for my child then my parents were to me. So making sure my daughter knows how loved and adored she is has been key since day one. Her smile assured me I’m doing my best & that she’s happy and healthy, which has always been my goal. She is my heart beat outside my body. Having a daughter is something not everybody gets to experience but if you do just know You have a built-in best friend for the rest of your life and nothing tops that feeling. My daughter has witnessed a lot of unhealthy, toxic things in her early life with her dad and still manages to shine every day.

6. What are some mental struggles you’ve faced in life and how did you overcome them?

Honestly, I break in private . My daughter would never know mommy is struggling. My struggles with depression and anxiety have been through the roof since her dad and I have broken up, but knowing I have someone watching me helps me keep going even on the hard days. Seeing a therapist has also helped me more than I can explain .

7. What are some other things about you that you’d like to share with others in the world?

Honestly, I hope everybody that reads this sees the light at the end of the tunnel. Don’t give up on your dreams Just bc you have a child! Keep going because of your child. They praise you so much more than us parents know.
