Joe B.:  I would love if everyone would be more straightforward and not lie or betray to be in a better position.

Introduce yourself?: Hi, I’m Joe from Luxembourg and I am 19-years old. My hobbies are skateboarding, snowboarding and parkour. I’m a high-school student and i’m currently in my senior year.

What inspires you everyday?: My goals are the one thing that inspires me the most everyday because I see them coming closer and closer as I put in the work to reach them.
My family and my friends are also inspiring me everyday they support me in everything I do and I really do appreciate that.

What is something you would change about people in the world?: I would love if everyone would be more straightforward and not lie or betray to be in a better position, which is a normal thing nowadays because everyone wants to always consume more or wants something another one has and to achieve it they have to be less honest and often they do things that are not morally correct.

How do you feel about the people in the world?: If I turn on the television or if I read the newspaper I often get a disgusted feeling. Everywhere we watch there is war, people in need who don’t get help, discrimination, racism, and so on… I just don’t understand why we just can’t live together in peace and how a human being can kill, hurt or hate someone just because of religion as an example. It’s just ridiculous. I think all humanity should live in one community where everybody is free to chose their preferences, beliefs and so on and the others have to respect that. I wish that everyone would think like that then many things would be much easier.

What is something you’ve struggled with in life?: I personally struggled with bullying when I was in 1st and 2nd grade and during that period with some aggression problems that still aren’t completely gone today. If there is just one small injustice that someone made towards me or someone I care for I get so mad and angry at them.
The bullying phase was pretty hard for me because I felt left alone even though my best friend and my family where carrying for me. I even got in trouble because I punched the bullies, my school often called my parents because of my aggression problems and it got to the point where I even got mad if someone stood behind me and laughed I immediately thought it was about me. In 3rd grade everything was fine again though and I even became close friend with one of my bullies. That taught me the lesson, that bad times won’t stay forever and that I don’t have to care about other peoples opinions and now I always say to myself, ifan someone doesn’t like you it is his problem because you don’t need him and if he can’t appreciate you he doesn’ need you either.

What is a positive message you would give others?: It doesn’t matter how others see you, it is all about how you see yourself. You have to always work on you see what you like and what not and then you have to make changes so you can be the person you want to be and the friends you will make by the time you are happy with yourself are the ones that will support you and always value you as a person.

if you could make a difference in the world how would you do that?: Well I would try to convince people that my idea is right and if I might get some people to try it out maybe it would convince others to join in. I think everyone has to make their own difference in the world I won’t tell them how it works or how it should be I think that if you are in peace with yourself you can be in peace with the world.
