Introduce yourself?: Synthia Keys is the name. I am a senior in high school.

What inspires you everyday?: The fact that each and everyday starts with a new plate—palate—beginning. With this new day and opportunity, we can utilize it to improve and become a better person each and everyday.

What is something you would change about people in the world?: If I could, I would choose to change people’s apathy into empathy because there’s so much indifference in the world today—whether it be to violence, world hunger, pollution, the deprivation of human rights and so on.
We need people to care and actually give a fuck about the world and the problems we live in. Acknowledging and understanding in a personal way is the first step to approaching and solving issues.

How do you feel about the people in the world?: It’s truly hard to say because there’s good and bad in every single person so I can’t come up with a complete, devoted answer.
But I will say that we can all use for improvement.

What is something you’ve struggled with in life?: Finding meaning—beyond wanting happiness and success…
also seeking to see if God is real or if the higher power I believe in is truly the higher power of the universe and whether or not there is something up there.

What is a positive message you would give others?: Never give up even when circumstances come up and block you from your path. Remember, if there is a will, there is a way. I hope that you take this with a positive approach and choose to make the world a better place.

if you could make a difference in the world how would you do that?: I think everyday we make a difference in the world—whether it be a small one or a big one.
But if I had unlimited power and resources, I would first end world hunger, poverty, and violence/war.
