Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is Drew Lopez. I’m 25yrs old. I am a amateur mma fighter, currently ranked 19th in the state of Texas.

What Inspires You Every day? : What inspires me everyday is the urge to get better at my craft. The urge to prove to myself that I CAN do whatever it is I put my mind to. Despite whatever anyone else thinks or says. My brother is also a fighter so it’s pretty easy to stay motivated and train. It’s nice always having someone to grind with and grow as athletes.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: “The future is coming whether you’re ready or not “

I used to get super nervous about upcoming games or events. I would overthink and think about what if this happens, or what if that happens until I read this quote. If I prepare the best I can and put the work in, I’ll be ready for whatever the future holds.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : My ultimate goal in life is to give my kids the best life possible. Everything I do is for them. I want them to grow up and say they had a good life.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : Thankfully the pandemic wasn’t too bad for me. My family and I stayed healthy for the most part. It did put a little set back on my fighting plans, I couldn’t be as active as I wanted too but it is what it is. I’m just glad my family and friends stayed are still here with me.

What is a message you would like to give others? : If you want it, go get it. There’s always gonna be someone saying you can’t do this or that. There’s always gonna be obstacles in the way, but if you want it GO GET IT.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: Thank you for everyone that supports and shows love. I’m excited for what the future holds. Keep an eye out for the Lopez bros. We’ll see you at the top
