What Inspires You Every day? : Other people are what inspire me. I take so much joy in seeing others smile and be happy. If you surround yourself with positivity and happiness, it will make you a happier person and give you more enjoyment. If I can make someone’s day by putting a smile on their face, it is a successful day:)
What is some words of wisdom you live by?: My Dad and I have an ongoing analogy that I always use. Your whole life you are swimming in an ocean of confusion, emotions, life experiences etc. Sometimes this ocean gets too strong and pulls you under, and you start to drown. If you stop swimming then you die, but if you persevere, you can find some beach. I was going through a pretty rough time last month and my Dad just kept telling me to keep swimming and find my beach, and low and behold here I am still alive and on my beach, but soon you always have to get back in the water, because they is where the true life experiences are.
What is your ultimate goal in life? : My goal in life is to be happy. I am still very young and I have no clue where I will go or where I will end up. I am just focused on trying to peruse a career that I love where I can keep growing and always stay interested. I want to have relationships in my life that bring me joy and laughter where I make them happy and they will do the same for me, and maybe most importantly being happy within myself.
How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : Being in this pandemic had really shown some peoples true colours. I was in a very toxic friend group for many years where I was constantly bullied and put down. Finally during COVID I decided enough was enough and I started from scratch in my grade 10 year with 1 friend, broke self esteem and right in the middle of a global pandemic. But I can successfully say with all this extra time to be with myself, I have found a group of friends who I can trust and who I love, and I finally know who I am.
What is a message you would like to give others? : Try and find who you are and be happy within yourself. Don’t care about what other may be saying or thinking about you because you have to know that you are amazing as is, and no one should be able to steal your thunder. There are people out there who was to be with you, and not your persona you have made up for others. Love you for you!!
What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: For the last 8 years I have been growing up with type one diabetes, and if there are any young kids out there who are also living through this crappy deal of cards, just know it gets easier and there are people out there who are here to help and who love you. Never let it slow you down or stop you from achieving your dreams! I>
