Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: Hey there, I’m a recently graduated screenwriter based in Las Vegas, Nevada. When I’m not writing or directing, I align myself with the detailed world of the Art Department; challenging myself to tell stories completely in visuals. Other hobbies of mine include creating TikToks, sketching fashion, and theme park trivia.

What Inspires You Every day? : I am inspired by history. Learning about the triumphs and pitfalls of those who came before me, in any field of study, inspires my choices. Also, in terms of my writing, details from the past make the worlds I create feel grounded.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: I know not everyone’s religious, but I personally live by the biblical scripture Jeremiah 29:11 . Paraphrasing, it states there’s a plan and purpose for my life. This gives me unwavering optimism when I create goals. This is not because there’s some empty guarantee that I won’t get hurt along the way, it’s more about knowing I will accomplish something significant before I pass away.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : In the future, I hope to create spectacle based films to progress African American culture as well as cultivate an extensive Wikipedia and IMDB page. I see talented artists like Issa Rae, Jordan Peele, Robin Thede, and Tyler Perry who are currently creating content that will be referenced for years to come. I want a piece of that.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : This pandemic tap danced all over my goals for last year and drained my motivation to finish college (I made it through, no worries) However, the time I was able to take off has helped me understand things about myself and how I see the world around me. This is beneficial for me in the end, because these revelations will be incorporated into my writing process.

What is a message you would like to give others? : In layman’s terms, do anything you can to move you forward. When I wasn’t getting picked to be on set in film school, I shifted focus by working on my own stuff in and outside of film. This worked out for the better and I think this will be a success for anyone who’s willing to put in the work.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: To wrap this up, I’m going to be fine regardless of what happens in my life.
