Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is Ta’Tyana German. I am a North Carolina artist by way of Fayetteville and Charlotte. I always been a person that draws all the time but it wasn’t until college that I was able to tap into painting and start create worlds that I never knew I could dream up. Art is a type of mediation for me that soothes my soul and keep my mind active. I teach art classes for kids in the community as well as paint and sips for the adult crowd. Seeing the faces of people light up when they make their own creation is unparalleled.

What Inspires You Every day? : What inspires me is nature, taking in all that surrounds me and the joy of being alive and breathing. Having the opportunity to make the most of my day motivates me to constantly keep creating as long as I am alive. 

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: Do what you need to do …to do what you want to do.
The journey never ends…no one said it would be easy.
These two things represent to me the ongoing process of life and creation. It may seems as though everybody is passing us by and sometimes you feel stuck but focusing on your journey and not someone else’s will dramatically change your mindset and motivate you anything. The options are limitless.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : To spread positivity to as many people as possible. It makes me feel good that I contributed to someone having a good day. That could include delighting people with my art or opening up their mind to creating themselves. That could mean making the girls I mentor feel as though they are worthy and deserving of love and that they are talented. I am the way I am out of the desire to make people feel whole because I know that that has made all the difference in my outlook on life and art. 

What is a positive message you would like to give others? : Never give up on yourself. It may sound cliche. But self love and motivation is extremely important no matter what you choose to do with your life or how hard your struggles have been. All the negativity and past experiences have made you stronger and even though troubled times may come, you are confident in your ability to be the best you can be, grow from it and make a difference in the lives of others. 

What questions would you like to ask others?:What are some things you do to create? It could be singing, writing, painting, dancing, etc. It’s important to create something and make your mark on the world. 

What is your mantra for how you approach each day? I say positive affirmations out loud boosting my confidence in myself and manifesting the best day I can have.
