Jaida Mitchell: Be different in your own way. You shouldn’t change the way you look or feel to impress someone.

Introduce yourself?: My name is Jaida Mitchell. I’m 14 years old, and from St. Louis Missouri. I currently attend high school in Delaware. I love to show my love of nature through photography, and drawings.

What inspires you everyday?: My family inspires me every day. They are very supportive of anything and everything I choose to do and I am very grateful for it. They always tell me to stand out, try something different, and to be a positive leader.

What is something you would change about people in the world?: If I could, I would change all the hatred and jealousy in people’s hearts. There is a huge problem in this generation with teens judging each other because of jealousy, hatred, and many other things, but I feel the two main reasons are because of jealousy and hatred.

How do you feel about the people in the world?: I feel that everyone can make a difference in the world in a positive way. You just have to gain the confidence and courage to go out there and do something life-changing.

What is something you’ve struggled with in life?: This year, I’ve struggled with bullying and finding out who my real friends are. It was extremely hard for me to handle and I was afraid to tell someone how I was feeling inside and what was going on every day at school. It made me look and feel bad.

What is a positive message you would give others?: Be different in your own way. You shouldn’t change the way you look or feel to impress someone. If they don’t like you for you, they aren’t good for you at all.

if you could make a difference in the world how would you do that?: I would try my best to show people that it is okay to be different. You shouldn’t try to be something you’re not because of what everyone else is doing or saying. Be true to yourself and make sure whatever it is you’re doing, pleases you.
