Olivia Clark-Davis: Your happiness comes first.

Name: Olivia Clark-Davis

Social Media Handle/Username: LIVtheVIRGO

Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: Hi, my name is Olivia. I’m 24 and a Virgo born on 9/17 from MI. I don’t have much of an interesting life LOL. Hmm, let’s see… I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety and Major Depressive Disorder last year, something I very clearly struggle with every day but I wake up each day and try to make the most out of the 24 hours we’re given.

What Inspires You Every day? : My family and my want to be successful are my biggest inspirations in life.

I come from a successful family and the want to live a happy and successful life comes from them because I was taught very early that whatever you want, you must work hard for it and be happy doing it.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: I try to live by the saying, “the best way out is through” because it’s true, I know it’s a cliche but if you are going through something the only way to get out of it is to go through it and try to brave the storm no matter how hard and dark it may be.

I also like to live by the saying “be the best version of you!” which again I know could be seen as a cliche BUT it is so true, be you and do what makes YOU HAPPY AND PROUD to wake up every day and say I love me, forget what everyone else may think.

Your happiness comes first. It took me awhile to understand that but I’m getting there slowly but surely and I believe others can as well.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : To be genuinely happy. To wake up and go too sleep each day knowing I lived that full 24 hours the way I wanted.

To love myself and the imperfections I see when I look into a mirror.

To be successful in whatever career path I choose.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : Well, when the pandemic first began… mentally I was lost in my head and overthinking every single thing, I went through depression like I never felt before, crying at night silently and in the dark because I couldn’t just turn my brain off and set my worries aside.

It affected me a lot in terms of how I now navigate the world and think about things, I was already an overthinker but I somehow think the pandemic and the worries and stress of it made me even more of one, if possible.

What is a message you would like to give others? : Hmm… I would like to tell others to find the simple pleasures and joy in life, if it’s as simple as reorganization of a shelf or a bike ride to the corner and back, if it gets you out of your head and puts a smile on your face, do it! Find your happiness & happy place and never let anyone take it away.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I don’t have everything figured out, hell I barely have anything figured out, but one day I pray and hope too have enough figured out to be happy with the life I’ve been given and to look in the mirror and love who I see staring back at me and all of her beauty and grace.

We’re not meant to have everything figured out all at once either, that’s what life is, figuring it out as you go.

Living, loving, growing and glowing along your journey.
