Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is Rodney P, I’m from Memphis, TN moved to Dallas in 2016 and haven’t really looked back since even though i miss my family and love my city Dallas is my new home now. I’m 32, i have two children (Oldest girl, and boy) i went to college at University of TN-Martin I’m a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, inc.
What Inspires You Every day? : My children. I wake up everyday thinking what can i do in my life that would make for a better future for them, part of the reason why i moved to Dallas so that they would have a better platform to grow on than i did.
What is some words of wisdom you live by?: “Closed Mouth does not get fed”- May be a southern quote not sure but, In order for you to receive anything or get something you want you have to use the power of the tongue to let it be known.
What is your ultimate goal in life? : To be the best person, man, father, friend, etc. that i can be.
How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : Aside from missing the human interactions at first I’ve been doing great, got the opportunity to learn somethings about myself that if not for the pandemic slowing things down it would’ve took longer to know. Got to work from home for the first time and I’m loving it.
What is a message you would like to give others? : Optimism is key. Optimism= Positivity, when you look for the positive side of any situation, it’s easier to deal with any obstacles that may cross your path.
What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I have a podcast called “IGOTSUM2SAY” it’s on YouTube and the first few episodes are on SoundCloud, just giving a voice to those who think a lot but won’t say a lot I’m saying it for you
