Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: Hi! I’m Mikayla, and I’m a 19 year old. Currently I’m not in school but am looking for opportunities! My pronouns are she/they and I identify as a demigirl. I’m LGBTQ+ which is a big part of my story.

What Inspires You Every day? : An app called Ensemble Stars. It’s one of the few things that keeps me motivated. It isn’t as cliche as everyone else’s, but I still find so much inspiration and excitement from this app/game. It’s very distracting and helps me through my ups and downs.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: “Live, laugh, love.” It has sort of turned into a meme, but in all honesty, it’s very inspirational. You live and laugh and love and move on from your difficulties through these three things.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : To get a stable job, family, and everything that most people aspire to have. I would love to find a wife and adopt children as it seems like something well fitted for me. Being an activist for any persons rights is something I’m very passionate about and would love to take more effort into succeeding down that path.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : I’ve deteriorated during this pandemic both mentally and physically. It was such a shock to me and at first, I didn’t know how I would come through. But I started to work on myself as a person and soon learned how to cope with the troubles of this.

What is a message you would like to give others? : Love yourself to help yourself. Self love and acceptance is one of the most important things out there. You can’t accept your life or succeed if you are against your ideals, motives, choices, or whatever it may be. Learning to care for yourself is something that every human should learn to do.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I’m not sure if there’s much else I can say! I hope my first explanation was broad enough. Oh, maybe you would like to know I am a big cat person, haha.
