Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: I grew up with no father- he left us when my little sister was born. He was deported after speeding and after my mom pressed sexual and physical assault charges against him. Being a immigrant single mom left my her with little opportunities. She worked day and night while my 10 yr old sister took care of us. I was maybe 4 at that time. By then I had 7 sisters. Over time we got better and better- my mom works her own business and we have our own house and she has her husband and we’re 9 sisters now and my oldest sister just welcomed her own daughter.
What Inspires You Every day? : My mom- she has worked very hard to get to where we are now. It took my mom years to start her business and to build contacts. She’s very good with money. Not so good with men but that not what I’m worried about. She knows what she wants and she goes after it. I also really admire my moms boldness- she doesn’t hold back, instead she lunges forward.
What is some words of wisdom you live by?: These are not really words I live by but more like places I need to improve. When my sister enlisted into the Army and sent us letters she constantly wrote about it- “Have courage & Be kind”
What is your ultimate goal in life? : I want to go to college and be a English Lit major. I want 5 kids- adopted, surrogate or mine. I want to live somewhere in the woods, not secluded but far away from the city.
How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : I have been mostly fine. I have 9 sisters so it’s been hectic. I’m going to Texas next month with my oldest sister.
What is a message you would like to give others? : If you are in a dark place, push forward =)
What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: It’s been great!
