Enrique Montoya: Life inspires me. From the few sun rays peaking over the mountains in the morning to the full moon illuminating the night sky.

Name: Enrique Montoya

Instagram Handle/Username: enriqueee_m

Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: What’s up, I’m Enrique. I grew up with a dad in the military which allowed me to travel the world as I grew up. This allowed me to experience different cultures and people and really helped shape me into who I am today. A goofy kid who just tries to love life everyday I’m prone to breaking out in random song and dance while contemplating the depths of both the outer and inner universe.

What Inspires You Every day? : Life inspires me. From the few sun rays peaking over the mountains in the morning to the full moon illuminating the night sky. A poets’ heart inked on a page to an artists’ guts spilled all over a canvas. Being able to wake every day and experience life gives me inspiration every damn morning

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: “For a man to conquer himself is the first and noblest of victories” – Plato

“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”

Stillness is Key

What is your ultimate goal in life? : My ultimate goal in life is to become the best friend, son, husband, and father that I can be. To continue to better myself so I can help those who come into my life. Also, a nice cabin in the woods near a lake would be pretty awesome

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : My pandemic was weird because I broke my ankle in the middle of it. The injury allowed to really sit with myself to learn and grow as well as healthy both mentally and physically. Besides not seeing friends much it hasn’t really affected me too much. I’m blessed to be back at work (a physical therapy clinic) and to be helping others during this weird time in history

What is a positive message you would like to give others? : “Do not ask for an easy life, but for the strength to endure a difficult one”

No one said life would be easy and right now we are all experiencing new challenges daily. But we are all stronger than we imagine, and by tapping into that strength we can come out the others side more resilient than when we entered. Just keep swimming.

What questions would you like to ask others?: I’d like to ask others about their lives. How they think, how they learn, what they see when we are both looking at the same item. I enjoy getting to know people as the awesome individual that they are
