Meet Favour. I have a creative spirit and put my all into whatever I do.

1. Can you share a bit about yourself and your background?

My name is Favour, and I reside in Lagos, Nigeria. Currently, I’m pursuing a B.Sc. in Architecture at The University of Benin. As the third child out of four, I’ve grown to be quite independent, although some days are challenging. At 22 years old, I consider myself a self-taught artist, a budget-conscious songwriter, and a skilled cook. While my views and opinions may contradict certain aspects of Christianity, I do believe in a higher power watching over us, providing reassurance that everything will be alright.

2. What passions are you currently pursuing in life?

My primary focus right now is my education in Architecture. My goal is to obtain my B.Sc. degree and pursue a Master’s degree to explore new possibilities. I have a creative spirit and put my all into whatever I do. While education takes precedence, I’m also passionate about art and music.

3. Do you have any words of wisdom that guide your everyday life?

There’s a line I recall from an Ellie Goulding song I heard on the radio when I was younger, though I can’t recall the exact song at the moment (perhaps “How Long Will I Love You”?). It goes, “We’re all traveling through time together; all we can do is do our best to enjoy this remarkable ride.” Essentially, it’s the YOLO mindset. I strive to be happy, to smile, to live life to the fullest, and eventually pass down amazing stories to my children.

4. What are your thoughts on the state of the world today?

The world is undergoing significant changes. Should we adapt along with it? Is there even an answer to that anymore? We’ve experienced better days and years. The pressing issues of climate change, economic challenges, poverty rates, conflicts, and more demand our attention. There is room for improvement, and we should strive to be better.

5. What goals do you have for yourself in the next 1-3 years?

In the next 1-3 years, my goals include graduating with high honors in my studies. I also aim to commercialize my songwriting skills and potentially showcase my art in my own art gallery. Achieving these milestones would be truly wonderful.

6. If you could make a significant impact in the world, what would you prioritize?

If given the opportunity, I would focus on ending world hunger, improving healthcare systems, and providing free education. Actions speak louder than words, and if I had resources like Elon Musk, these three areas would be my top priorities.
