Tell about yourself, your background?

I am from a small town in Virginia called Orange County. Growing up I loved to dance, I loved music. I wanted to be a psychologist, but I got pregnant and from there I knew I had to do something to get money quick, constant money. I became a Personal Care Aide then a Registered Medication Aide. I love helping people, so this was a second nature to me. I am now a Talent Manager, Booking Agent, A&R, Mentor and soon to be author.

I noticed you run a music management company, how did that begin and what has that experience been like for you so far?

I started managing in November 2021. Honestly, it just happened. I had a friend who has the talent, he is an amazing artist. Very versatile, he gives me Wu-tang vibes just very authentic, and his flow just came so naturally, but he had never been to the studio before. So, I paid for him to go, and he fell in love with it. He asked if I could do another session the next day, so I did. And he asked me if he took music seriously could I manage him. And that is how I started. I learned everything as I went. I am still learning, I surrounded myself with some heavy hitters in the industry that were willing to help me grow. This has honestly been a roller coaster for me. Mentally and physically because this music business is not easy. You have to spend money to make money and a lot of people in this music industry don’t know that because they don’t know the business side of it. I keep reminding myself I’m only a year and 4 months in and I got to where I am quick, I have to give myself time to see what I want to see. I don’t see what everyone else sees when they look at me or my progress. Yeah, I’ve had a great run so far, yes, I’m still struggling. I struggle every month, but this is what the journey looks like right? Gotta have a story to tell when I am at the top.

What are some goals you’ve made for yourself for the next 2-5 years?

My number 1 goal honestly is to help others and myself get to a point where they can make it independently. Get artists in rooms they can’t imagine being in and to the next level. 

Goal number 2 has been my goal since starting this. I want to become financially independent and stable. I want wealth, I want to live comfortably with no worries, no longer stressing things when it comes to money. 

I want to be one of the well-known ladies in Hip Hop, Music period honestly. Like Karen Civil, and Waka’s mom. But I am more of a behind the scenes face. 

What are some words of wisdom you live by every day?

“Nothing good comes easy.”

“Faith over Fear”

“With Pain Comes Strength”

Those are some daily reminders I keep close to me. I have one tatted big on me. I live by these words. They all have meaning behind them.

What were some challenges you faced to get to where you are now?

I’ve went broke, hungry, done got scammed. Whew, if you really knew what it took for me to make a lot happen with such little. I’m talking about me & one of my close friends who is one of my cameramen as well, sending the same $20 back and forth for weeks just to have gas to get places or a happy meal for my kids. I still struggle from time to time. You know it’s not just me, I am a mom of 2 little girls. I’ll go without just for them to eat and have a roof over their heads. I can say I’ve made it to where I am because of the struggle, the hunger. 

What is one big impact you would like to make in the world?

I want to show people who don’t think they will ever be something or make it in this life that there is always a way. I want to change lives. I want to not only give people hope but show them how to make it happen. You know the tongue is very powerful as well as the mind. Watch what you say and think. Manifest good things only. Speak positivity in your life. I want to be the reason more people say I made it; I was given the resources to make it.

That’s all I can do. I’m here to do the work I was placed on this earth to do. And I believe that is help people. No matter what it is. I know I can’t take everyone with me but I’m going to try. I’m going to leave gems for them to build their own way.
