1. Introduce yourself(tell about yourself & who you are)
My name is Kelly, and I am a nursing student. I have previously received a bachelors degree in psychology. I love the fitness industry and staying as fit as possible. I love to learn, read, eat, and spend with friends and outdoors. I hope to accomplish all the goals I have set for myself in life.
2. What are your passions in life that you are working towards in life right now?
I am working very hard to receive a second bachelors of science in nursing. I hope to become a nurse, which concentration I’m not too sure yet. I have a passion for mental health and learning more about neuroscience. As stated previously, I also have a passion for physical fitness as well. My main goal is to live a life I am happy with.
3. What are some goals in life you’d like to complete and what are some goals you have completed already?
I’d like to travel more and eventually buy a house. I have always wanted to go of a bunch of different countries but also travel to the national parks in the US. I have accomplished one bachelor’s degree so far. I’ve overcome some family struggles and typically struggles any young adult has faced so far in life. I hope to only continue to grow and overcome or learn new lessons.
4. What is a life message you would like to share with people around the world?
A life lesson I have learned is if you are mentally strong, you can accomplish anything in life or create the life you’ve always wanted to live. If your thoughts can make you sick, sad, insecure, etc. Your thoughts can make you powerful, successful, and happy. I hope to only learn how to reach this point in my life, and then share with others how to do the same.
5. Who is your role model?
I have a lot of role models in, life but my grandma would probably be my number 1. My grandma Dorothy who passed in 2011 was an amazing woman. She cared for more people in her lifetime than anyone I know. She was a nurse, a mental health advocate, a mother, grandmother, friend and truly blissful person. Her curiosity and caring nature for others is something I hope to live up to.
6. What are some mental struggles you’ve faced in life and how did you overcome them?
I think everyone struggles with multiple things in life, some more than others. I’ve struggled with an extremely complicated parent relationship and still do to this day. I come from a large working class family who struggle in their own individual ways. I think being raised by my parents who (I know we’re and still are trying their best) but aren’t happy with themselves and their relationship, as well as their health; didn’t make growing up as easy. I think experiencing that has taught me what not to do or how to be the best I can be before taking on a family. I love my parents, and I am grateful for them, I just wish they were healthier in multiple aspects.
7. What are some questions you would like to ask other people around the world?
I’d ask the world if anyone can relate to my story? Are people truly happy? Does anyone have similar passions? (I would like to think more about this question)
