Aidan Weiler: If you are always in your comfort zone, you will never change and make progress.

1. Introduce yourself(tell about yourself & who you are)

1-Hello! My name is Aidan Weiler, I’m a 19-year-old living on Long Island. I’m a musician, and have been playing many instruments since I was a kid. I absolutely love performing, and I’m currently a Dance Teacher. I also do photography, videography, and some graphic design at the studio I teach dance at.

2. What are your passions in life that you’ve always wanted to do?

One passion I have always wanted to pursue was music and performing. I’ve been dancing since I was 2, and singing and acting for forever. Being on stage feels extremely natural for me, whether it was performing with an instrument, or in a musical. I’m positive that music will be a huge part of me for the rest of my life.

3. What are some goals in life you’d like to complete?

Some goals that I’d like to complete would definitely being on Broadway! That’s been a dream of mine since I was very little, and hopefully I’ll get to do that one day. I think in a more metaphorical sense, a goal would to spread as much love and kindness and possible. Even if it’s just one person each day, hopefully that makes that person feel better. I know what it feels like to be completely broken, and not feel loved. And one person, even with the smallest of love and compliments, can change your entire day.

4. What is a positive message you’d like to share with people around the world?

This is going to sound a bit weird, but stay uncomfortable! If you are always in your comfort zone, you will never change and make progress. If your goal scares you or puts you out of your comfort zone, you know you’re heading in the right direction. NEVER give up just because it gets hard, you might find something great on the other side.

5. What are your thoughts on society today?

Society today is very unstable. There is much needed reform in how we run our system, and we’re using rules and law systems from hundreds of years ago that we should not at all be using today. Even Thomas Jefferson said that the constitution shouldn’t be set in stone forever! I feel as we keep pushing for reform and justice for basic human rights, we are getting an even bigger push back from the government to “stay in our place”. But things are meant to change as society does, and more people need to realize that.

6. What are some mental struggles you’ve faced in life and how did you overcome them?

Throughout my life, I’ve had a lot of struggles. Growing up, I experienced horrible abuse. As a result, I’ve dealt with extreme depression, anxiety, and I was diagnosed with PTSD. I have felt completely hopeless, like nothing will ever get better. I am living proof that it ALWAYS gets better. Find something to be grateful for, even if the only thing you have is that you made it to the end of the day. Be grateful you’ve survived 100% of your bad days at the end of the day. And no matter what, always keep pushing.

7. What are some other things about you, you’d like to share with people around the world?

Something about me is that I love meditation! It has helped me through so much, and a part of that is loving yourself and everyone. So if I had one thing to share with the world, it would be to always choose love. You can always find good in everything. In a world full of hate, be the love and light around you!
