1. Introduce yourself(tell about yourself & who you are)
My name is Christian Nevarez. I was born in Mesa, Arizona and raised in Los Angeles, California. I love to travel and capture those moments through a lens. I am an aspiring photographer/videographer that has been shooting for about 3 years.
2. What was your inspiration to get into the video/photo creative world, and what has that experience been like?
My inspiration for making video and photos came from living in LA. I fell in love of the idea of Hollywood. The idea of manipulating a scene to make it look greater than it really did in real life. Being able to alter the perspective of something felt amazing.
The experience throughout this journey for me has been an amazing roller coaster. From little passion projects to serious client work. From making great content to making mistakes. It’s definitely a roller coaster like any field you jump into, but meeting the different people that come in this field is such a fun feeling and I wouldn’t change that for the world.
3. What are some words of wisdom you live by everyday?
Some words of wisdom I live by are to sacrifice now for a better future. Another quote I heard that really stuck with me is;
“Imagine if you will being on your death bed – And standing around your bed – the ghosts of the ideas, the dreams, the abilities, the talents given to you by life.
And that you for whatever reason, you never acted on those ideas, you never pursued that dream, you never used those talents, we never saw your leadership, you never used your voice, you never wrote that book.
And there they are standing around your bed looking at you with large angry eyes saying we came to you, and only you could have given us life! Now we must die with you forever.
The question is – if you die today what ideas, what dreams, what abilities, what talents, what gifts, would die with you? ”

4. What are some goals you wanna complete with your career?
A goal I’ve always wanted to complete in this career was to shoot at a music festival official. Not to be a guest who buys a ticket, but to be invited with a media pass to get content for them.
Another goal I have is to shoot music videos for high profile clients, and my favorite artist. It’s one of those dreams of just working with people that inspire you, and being able to put your name on it to say; I did that.
5. What are some struggles you faced to be where you are now?
I never came from a wealthy family ,so a 9-5 was pretty much always required in order to survive Los Angeles. Making money to afford equipment and keep up with bills and rent was always a back and fourth. It felt like we were running in circles. The more time I spent shooting the more ways I was able to get money doing the things I love.
One of The biggest struggle I faced throughout this journey, was to really open up to the world. Putting your art in the world and letting the world judge you. Pretty much the beginning phases of anything you do that requires the world to critique.
6. What is a way you’d like to make an impact in the world?
I would love to impact the world by inspiring others that came from the same background of a less fortunate household to really go out there and take the risk of doing the stuff you love and don’t be afraid to fail.
Hopefully, I’m able to give back more to my community by creating videos that can generate awareness and wealth to certain issues on hand that need more attention.
