Introduce yourself?: Hey, I’m Sydney Beaulne. I am 22 years old. I work full time as a legal assistant but have lots of experience working in the construction industry, automotive repair industry and customer service industry.

What inspires you everyday?: I want to live a good life, and I want to be happy. To be able to do such I feel it’s important to be healthy and happy day to day. So everyday I wake up with a smile on my face.l,get ready for work and stay positive throughout the day. On a daily basis I motivate people, and try to help them live a positive life.

What is something you would change about people in the world?: There’s nothing I would change personally. People have to want to change on their own.

How do you feel about the people in the world?: I feel there is a lot of hate in the world, but there is also a lot of caring loving people.
I’ve met some truly horrible people, but I’ve also met some life changing amazing people.

What is something you’ve struggled with in life?: I struggled with addiction, homelessness, abusive ex, and anxiety.
I was addicted to meth for quite a few years while I was with my last boyfriend. When we got together he seemed amazing, hardworking and loving. That all came to a haul when we started to do cocaine together. It started just every weekend, then we started doing it during the week. After a about a week of doing it every day, it started to make us tired, so we started using meth on a daily basis for years because it was cheap and able to keep us up for weeks.
We started to lose everything, our cars, our houses, our jobs. We did some pretty horrible things to get money, drugs and cars.
We had to buy a cheap car and live in that with our two dogs. We moved to Nova Scotia where we did some pretty horrible things to be able to get money and survive.
When we moved back to Ottawa our car got impounded so we became homeless, that’s when things got horrible. My ex got really abusive and started to control everything about me. I wasn’t allowed to eat, use the phone or go online. I went two weeks without eating, and one day he got mad and knocked me out, the next day I stole his phone and called my mother. 15 minutes later she picked me up. While we were in the car she told me that the cops had an arrest Warrent for me so she was taking me to the police station. Once we got there I was charged with 12 counts of various things.

What is a positive message you would give others?: Never give up, and you always miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

what is some things you wanna tell people in the world and be honest? : Well first I would apologize to everyone I hurt, or screwed over.
I would say that I am working hard to get my life back on track and am now helping people in need, and helping people stay on track.
