1. Introduce yourself(tell about yourself & who you are)
Hi, my name is Laura. I’m a 19-year-old teenager that is currently working at Montessori school and going to college in order to follow my dreams.
2. What is something or someone inspires you everyday
I have two little brothers, and they both inspire me every day to keep going and keeping my head up.
3. What are some goals in life you are wanting to complete?
Some goals I have are wanting to finish my career as an Ultrasound Tech. Get my own place but that goal is coming sooner than expected. Lastly, I want to help people to keep on going no matter their past, there’s always a second chance and I say that because I’m currently in my second chance.
4. What are some words of wisdom you live by every day?
word of wisdom: “Hate no one, no matter how they’ve wronged you. Live humbly, no matter how wealthy you become. Think positively, no matter how hard life is. Give much, even if you’re given little. Forgive all, specially yourself. And never stop praying for the best for everyone.
5. What are your thoughts on the world today?
my thoughts about the world today is that everything is getting ruined. Even though everyone fights for equality, there’s no such thing. Everyone is getting left out somehow and instead of going for good I think everything is going bad limiting so many people for stuff and there are some choices that don’t make sense now days.
6. What are some struggles you went through in life and how did you overcome it?
some of my struggles have been seeing my mom struggles to give me a better place to live or have food. She used to work Sunday-Sunday to give me everything I needed. Everything changed once we moved to the United States. Another struggle when I decided to move out from my house, at the beginning it was hard because I only had a place to go but didn’t have enough money saved or I didn’t have a job. It was hard but I was able to go back to my old job where my boss has helped me a lot and I’m grateful for it. I have had people next to me that keep pushing me to keep on going and now I have worked hard for 2 months and if everything goes good I will be having my own apartment by My 3rd month of independence.
7. Last question, what other things about you would you like to tell people in the world?
I have a dark past where I used to hide, but now I keep my head up. 6 years ago I would have ended my life because I was tired of everything and everyone blaming me for what happened but now I can look back and everything I’m doing is for myself, no one else. I have to work hard, and I think everyone else should too. Work hard on each other. It has been a long process but thank God I have a wonderful person next to me, he has helped me all this year’s and don’t matter what happens between us, he promised me once to always be there for me, and he’s keeping that promise. So there’s always someone that will always stick around no matter what. Lastly, never give up and keep your head up!
