Introduce yourself(tell about yourself & who you are)

My name is Tyler Barry and I am a photographer and videographer in Connecticut. I am 18 years old and just graduated high school. I’m going onto the college of Mount Saint Vincent in New York where I’ll be majoring in communications while continuing to play baseball there as well.

What Inspired you to pick up a camera and start this journey?

We have a class at our high school, broadcast journalism. It allows us to create and tell stories through voice and the lens. We have a news program that airs weekly. I really enjoy telling stories through an image. Photography and videography isn’t just point and shoot to me, it’s an art form that I believe not everyone gets. Also, just capturing the perfect image is very satisfying and something I like to show off. I also get invited/hired to lots of things and it allows me to travel and see things I may not have before. It’s something very enjoyable and I encourage others to give it a try.

What are some words of wisdom you live by everyday?

Find your passion. Look for what inspires you. Find what you love to do and pursue it with all your heart. You may well find a way how to make money from doing it.

What is some goals you wanna complete in your life?

I’m still unsure of what exactly I want to do in the future, hopefully in college I can find some type of camera work that interests me and can give me lots and lots of opportunities. But other than that I just like to put smiles on peoples faces with my work and getting recognized for it.

What is something in life you’ve struggled with to get to where you are now?

I struggled finding a passion. If it weren’t for my high school broadcast journalism class who knows if I’d even be where I am now.

What is one way you’d like to make an impact in the world?

I want to come up with more creative ways to tell peoples stories
