Mat Randol, Father/Artist/Community member from Portland, OR

What inspired you to become an artist?

I was never good at expressing/telling people how I feel so I started writing it down. I look up to the artists that have a way of painting pictures with their words, Once I learned how to do that I’ve been addicted to the art form.

What is your journey like of being a father?

Every day is an experience, and I say that in the most positive way. When my son was born at the time I had no experience with children at all, so it’s been great. No better feeling in the world.

What are some upcoming projects of yours that you have going on?

Working on this album with my brothers TheHOMETEAM coming soon. Working on solo material as well

What was your childhood like growing up and how did it get you to where you are now?

Childhood was solid no complaints I had fun, things got crazy for me in middle school but I learned to deal with “Life”

What are your goals for the next 2-5 years?

Let’s see… watch my son flourish first and foremost. Release more music, buy a house, own property, make smart business decisions & tour the world.
