Anas El Khadir: Being a photographer means being a soul full of sensations and ideas.

1. Introduce yourself, what is it you do, where you from .

My name is Anas El Khadir , was born in 2001 in Casablanca , Morocco, I grew up in a popular neighborhood and in the middle of an ordinary family. I’m a photographer and a university student at the same time.

2. What inspired you to get into  photography?

My story with photography started when I tried to embody my feelings and share them with the world, and I found that photography is the best way to express thoughts

3. What is your favorite part of being a photographer

Being a photographer means being a soul full of sensations and ideas, because the successful photographer for me is the one who shoots what he feels and not just what he sees … so I shoot when my feelings meet the things that are everywhere, and I automatically take a picture. So I don’t imagine my life without art and without photography because everything I photograph is a certain feeling at a certain moment.

4. What was the first picture you ever took of when you started and how much would you say you have improved since then.

I remember the first pictures I was taking were pictures of nature …. This is because I have a special relationship with nature, and that I felt that I felt that nature is sad if I was sad, and I see it happy if I was happy, so I was trying to photograph nature to portray that feeling that I was seeing in all the features of nature, and that is why I say that art is feelings above all, although those pictures were of poor quality but they All the ideas I want to convey through my pictures, and now after 3 years I see that I have evolved and developed my way of working

5. What are your hobbies other than photography

I like to sing and make music, music is the lunch of the soul …

6. What are your goals for the next 2-5 years

I am currently working on a documentary related to photography, which will be filmed in a number of countries… which will be published on 30/07/2024 and which will be shown in the cultural complex in Casablanca

7. What message would you like to give to other people who want to do photography

My message to everyone who wants to start photography, it doesn’t matter if you don’t have equipment, penetrate what’s available to you now … and make sure you visualize what you feel, not just what you see

8. What were some struggles getting good at photography and how did you overcome it.

I don’t call them difficulties, I call them challenges… The value of the picture complements how difficult it is to get it

9. Last question what else would you like to tell people about you.

I am a Moroccan young man, I dream to realize my dreams and to be able to convey more feelings to people through my artwork
