Oraida Calderon: What the world calls failures are in reality the stepping stones to success.

Introduce yourself, who are you, what is it you do, etc?

I am Oraida Calderon divorced and a mother of two sons. An active church member while working in the criminal justice field. I currently reside in the sunshine state. I i obtained my master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Public Administration.

What inspired you to get into criminal Justice?

My aunt was an immigration lawyer the way she fought for the rights of others put a fire in me.

What is some words of wisdom you live by on a daily basis?

What the world calls failures are in reality the stepping stones to success. Without failure there isn’t motivation to do better.

What are some struggles you faced to get to where you are now?

Being concerned what others thought of me when it came to lifestyle or career wise. Blocking out or cutting ties with negative people helped me thrive where I am now.

What is a big impact you wanna make in the world now that you have your masters in Criminal Justice?

Crime prevention there are to many violent crimes occurring in the states there needs to be another criminal justice reform.

Last question what other things would you like to tell people about you?

I am starting a body positive podcast with my friends and talking about life to help others cope regarding the unrealistic standards of society.
