Isabelle Olendo:  I believe in Humanity because we all have the same values in some way and I know that every Human life has also a good part inside.

Introduce yourself?: Hi! My name is Isabelle Olendo and I’m 21 (22 on the 25th of December). I was born in Gabon (Middle Africa) and I was raised in four different cities which are Libreville, Port-Gentil, Barcelona and Valencia. Now I’m living in Barcelona (Spain) where I study Translating and Interpreting. I speak french, spanish, a little bit catalan and I’m trying to improve my English everyday.

What inspires you everyday?: There are a lot of things that inspire me everyday. I think ambition is important to improve someone’s quality of life. But, for me life is about sharing memories, experiences and love. With that three things we can be a better person day after day and we can also create strong links with people. It makes me feel more human.

What is something you would change about people in the world?: People are usually closed-minded and are also afraid of the “unknown” so some of them tend yo be racists sometimes. For this reason, I would definitely change Ignorance. Barriers between people belonging to different cultures must be broken.

How do you feel about the people in the world?: I believe in Humanity because we all have the same values in some way and I know that every Human life has also a good part inside. The only problem is just that we prefer to listen to the bad/mean side because it’s easier. Choosing the good side involves working on oneself and that is the hardest part.

What is something you’ve struggled with in life?: Learning. In every meaning.

What is a positive message you would give others?: Giving without expecting anything in return (when you give something, you do it by heart) and giving without taking back what was given.

if you could make a difference in the world how would you do that?: If I could make a difference in the world I would do that by making all the primary needs free and accessible to everyone: basic food such as rice, oil, sugar, salt, etc; water; electricity. I would make every single country give up the nuclear bomb and I would make them stop the wars.
