Nole Oppermann: I seek the freedom to do as I wish on a given day and to focus on what I truly want to.

Name: Nole Oppermann

Social Media Handle/Username: main twitter @nole__tx / @hey__tx

Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: I’m the founder of Hey tx, which is the custodian of the decentralized .tx top level domain. My interest in decentralized technologies dates back to 2013 when I led discussions on Bitcoin at Baylor University. I also hold a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Utah (2018), where I delivered a graduate capstone presentation on utilizing blockchain in real estate.

What Inspires You Every day? : To make the world a freer place. Where there is freedom, there is prosperity.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: Think for yourself. God’s greatest gift to mankind is freewill, and so it’s important to make the most of it.

These are self-reminders that I read every day:
“Impatience with action, patience with results.”

“I do not have this life to be mediocre. I live this life to be my best and to achieve results that were not thought possible.”

What is your ultimate goal in life? : My ultimate goal isn’t an ending, but a state of being. I seek the freedom to do as I wish on a given day and to focus on what I truly want to. To make the world freer, and by doing so, enable those around me to live freely.

What are your thoughts on people who seek attention on social media, and what message would you like to give them? : There are 3 pursuits: wealth, power, and status. Those who seek attention without providing substance are pursuing status. Their life will remain empty and unfilled, just as a water vase with cracks at the bottom. Start a business, create art, or share your ideas. Do something to make the world better, then status can follow.

How would you help people around the world who are going through mental health problems? : Everyone has a different path in life, but this should cover most of it. The struggles of mental health derive from an individual’s conflict with an external force, such as society. The issue is that the conflict is either temporary or actually internal. Focus on learning who you are and being your true self. Afterwards, proceed to be your best self.

“See things for what they are.
Do what we can.
Endure and bear what we must.

What blocked the path now is a path.
What once impeded action advances action.
The Obstacle is the Way.”

How would you describe a better world for us all? : The world won’t change unless we ourselves change first. If you want to be successful, have fulfillment, and make the world better, I would encourage to adopt a similar mindset:
1 Rugged individualism within a strong, supportive community.
2 Knowing who you are and not caring what others’ think.
3 Forward thinking and innovation.
4 Living and acting with purpose
5 And Respecting all.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I grew up on a farm out in the middle of nowhere, Texas. Though I value privacy, I’m sharing myself online to advance an idea that’s more important than myself. And the idea is that instead of money or the web being controlled by a few, the people should be in control. As Bitcoin frees the money, Handshake (HNS) frees the web.
