Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is Leslie Marisha and I am a lover of knowledge and evolvement in a physical, metaphysical, and mental way. I am a mother, a therapist, and a crystal shop owner. I have a Bachelor’s in psychology and I am currently pursuing my masters degree in marriage and family therapy.

I am a Sagittarius sun, Aries moon, and Cancer rising. I am also a 3 in numerology which naturally allows for me to express the best way through art. I love to sing, create art (paint) and write. Its the best therapy for me.

What Inspires You Every day? : With emotions arising in my spirit, it is quite simple for me to answer this question: my three special needs children.

Being a mother to three autistic children inspires me every single day. They are so unique and special in their own ways. I have an instagram page that I have dedicated to them called @the.autistic.way that I advocate for them. Through my children I have learned to appreciate the small things and see the world completely different. I have learned grace and so much unconditional love. I learn from each one of my children every single day. It is their world and I am just living in it.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: Some of my favorite quotes are quotes that I have shared on my metaphysical shops IG page @listen.to.your.intuition :

“Repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, which makes it the architect of accomplishment.” ― Zig Ziglar
The more we do something the better we get at mastering the art of it. The clearer it becomes.

“Art is the creation of forms symbolic of human feelings”
meaning that creativity is the gateway to deeper understanding of our emotions. Using your imagination is so important and we shouldn’t forget the natural things we gravitated to as children and as we age or become adults. For “Creativity is intelligence having fun”.

“The mental suffering you create is always some form of non-acceptance, some form of unconscious resistance to what is. On the level of thought, the resistance is some form of judgement. The intensity of the suffering depends on the degree of resistance to the present moment”

What is your ultimate goal in life? : My absolute ultimate goal in life is to be able to create better opportunities for the next generations to come in my family. Both spiritually and financially. Breaking generational trauma and creating generational wealth.

I also want to help the world understand people that are different like my children which includes anyone that is neurodivergent and atypical.

What are your thoughts on people who seek attention on social media, and what message would you like to give them? : I believe that people who seek attention on social media may have a lack of something in their real life. More and more each day people are more worried about what they look like in a superficial reality instead of seeing the underlying issues within themselves. It is an escape mechanism.

How would you help people around the world who are going through mental health problems? : I chose to seek a path in psychology to be able to understand people with mental health diagnoses and that are neurodiverse.

My dream is to open a school with alternative options and therapies for people that are highly sensitive and different and create a safe space for them and their family members. Also, assisting special needs children and their loved ones by helping any families that want to work in creating better bonds with their children that are born unique while also helping children and adults better understand themselves.

How would you describe a better world for us all? : A better world for us all would be a world where we lead with our hearts for that is where our souls lie. We often don’t realize that we are doing a great disservice to ourselves if we focus so much on the material things like money and our jobs and what we look like when all of those things are important but it is not THE most important. We have to find balance within in our hearts and our minds.

But also, really seeking healing and trying our best to be self-aware. If we were all honest about ourselves we would be better people to ourselves and to others. That is really what self-love is. That movement has gotten so big but people think its about pampering ourselves and buying ourselves some gifts. That’s superficial. Real self-love is embracing all the parts about yourself, both good and bad and being honest and self-aware. Accepting our flaws is just as important as embracing the greatest attributes about ourselves. We live in a world of duality. Balance is KEY.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I want others to know that my life has had many difficult moments and many dark nights but that has made me who I am today and I choose not to be a victim but to take my power back. Ultimately, all I want is to help others. That is what feels right and good to me. My story of raising three special needs children as a single mother will not be a sympathy story but an empowering story.
If I can do it, you can do it too <3
