Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is McKinzie Green. I’m a junior at Texas A&M University. My major is Communication. I play basketball. I’m from Houston, Texas. I went to Manvel High School and I’ve been playing basketball since I was in the second grade. I fell in love with the game and I’ve been playing ever since. I played other sports in my life like flag football, volleyball, and track. But basketball is the one that stuck with me and I had a dream of playing college basketball so I’m living one of my dreams out. My other dream is to play in the WNBA.

What Inspires You Every day? : Being the best that I can be is what inspires me every day. I know that I was made to do big things and that’s what helps me to keep going every day. I want to be a role model for little girls and show them that hard work pays off.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: Get through the storm.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : To be successful, a role model, and make my family proud.

What are your thoughts on people who seek attention on social media, and what message would you like to give them? : It doesn’t matter what people think about you, the only thing that matters is how you think about yourself.

How would you help people around the world who are going through mental health problems? : I would tell them to take all the time that they need in order to help solve their problems. You can’t put a time table on mental health problems. People need to understand that because our mental health is very important.

How would you describe a better world for us all? : I think that a better world for us all is everybody respecting each other. Once people start respecting each other all these terrible things wouldn’t be happening in the world.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I want people to know that I’m going to be somebody one day and that everybody is going to know my name soon.
