Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: I am a 23 year old singer, songwriter, published model, youth worker and pageant girl from scotland. I was a finalist in miss scotland and miss glasgow In 2019. I have been involved in charity work since I left school when I was 16 years old and have worked for and with some of the best children and young peoples charities in the U.K. and the world through fundraising during pageants and my day to day job as a youth worker. I am also a student at glasgow university studying community development.

What Inspires You Every day? : In one sentence I would say “The hope for a better life for me and the people around me and a better world for future and current society”.

In more sentences than one I would say there are many things that inspire me as well as what I’ve stated above. I am a big sister, I have two younger siblings, an 11 year old brother and a 12 year old sister. The idea of setting the best example for my siblings inspires me daily. The hope to give my future children a life I never had. And to make myself truly happy with everything I have achieved in life.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: “Make your heart happy and your soul shine”

In the first few years of my youth work career I met one of the most incredible women, let’s call her my work mum because that’s pretty much what she was. I was having a really rough time in my personal life and I had some big decisions to make and this was the advice I received “do what makes your heart happy and your soul shine” I didn’t understand it at the time but it became my motto later in life and I am very thankful that I heard it when I did.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : My ultimate goal in life is to be completely happy.

I have many general goals but my ultimate goal is complete happiness no matter what that means.

What are your thoughts on people who seek attention on social media, and what message would you like to give them? : I don’t like to pass judgment on what others use their platforms for however if someone feels the need to post “attention seeking” posts on their social media then in my opinion there must be something deeper going on that maybe they require support with so my advice if this was the case for someone would be to reach out and talk to someone they trust because not everyone on social media will have there best interests at heart.

What are your thoughts about people’s behavior from experience, and how would you help them.? : People are products of their own environments, I have met many different types of people all with very different personalities and behaviours, it’s difficult to say my thoughts about peoples behaviour from experience when my experience with people and their behaviours have been different with each individual I have met. I don’t believe that human beings can be “helped” I believe they can be supported and encouraged to make positive changes to their own life’s. It’s very much like the saying “ you can drag a horse to water but you cannot make it drink“ if a person is supported and encouraged then they have a better chance of “helping” themselves. I believe that if we empower people and communities the world could be a much better place.

What qualities, traits or lifestyle you live makes you different from others in the world? : Everything I do it with pure intentions and a good heart, I put my all into everything that’s important to me and I care about people and their welfare. Whether it be family, friends, strangers it doesn’t matter who they are, I care about others.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: People often ask me why I chose community development/youth work as one of my careers and I’m very open in saying why, I had a difficult childhood, from bullying, poverty, the passing of my dad at a young age etc, it wasn’t an easy ride for me so my hope is to make other children and young peoples lives that little bit easier by offering my support.

Music is the love of my life, my true passion and my escape for as long as I can remember I have been singing and writing music it’s always been my dream to pursue it as a career and “make it” with music.

Modelling and pageants have been a happy coincidence, I never intended to do anything other than music and youth work but when I discovered I could raise money for charity while competing in pageants I jumped at it. Modelling just became one of the perks of pageants and then it became a new love of mines and I have now been published in magazines all over the world.

My hopes are to “make it” with my music or modelling however I love the idea of combining my youth work and music passions and opening up a music school that offers affordable tuition and general support to children and young people who could benefit from music therapy.
