Takara Veazie: Take the risk, be bold, be courageous and let your voice be heard. YOU have something that some else needs.

Name: Takara Veazie

Social Media Handle/Username: @loveleebonez

Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: Hello. My name is Takara and I’m 33 years old. I’m from Richmond, Texas and have been living in Houston for the past 5 years. I’m a 10th grade English II teacher full-time and I’m actually pretty good at it lol. I’m in love with anything that has to do with astrology and I’m also a plant mom. My friends would most likely say that I’m a unique and kind person with a wild side. I like to think that I’m one hell of a good soul.

What Inspires You Every day? : As a Sagittarius (lol), I’m very optimistic by nature, so with that being said, I’m inspired by what I see in the world around me at any given time. Not one specific thing actually inspires me, unless it’s in the moment, then I’ll be able to point it out. I think that as humans, we believe that even the smallest things don’t count, but in fact, it’s the tiniest of thing that are the most important.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: Where I currently in my life, affirming “I am powerful” on a daily has changed my life in ways that I can’t even begin to articulate. I learned that understanding that you have all the power to make your dreams come true will allow you to make better decisions for yourself and the people that you love around you. Also, my grandmother loves to tell me “good things come to those who wait, so be patient”. She is as wise as I’ll ever be, but this resonates so much because I’m not built with patience, but the last year it’s been my test. Words are powerful themselves and what you tell yourself and others will manifest, so be kind to yourself.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : My ultimate goal in life is to have it all. I know that sounds cliche, but that is exactly what I want. I want the husband, the big house, cars, kids, and a 6-7 figure salary. I want to be healthy spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally. I want to be a small business owner and create wealth for my future family for generations to come. Having balance in every area and experience a love of a lifetime. Even with all the daily and monthly goals I have, I am working hard on myself to dive deep within my soul to unlock my greatest potential to achieve them all.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : The pandemic has broken me down and rebuilt me and still rebuilding me into this person I am right now. I have been good, but there have been many lessons that I’ve had to learn. As a person who gets seasonal anxiety and depression, I honestly had no idea what would come of being stuck inside for months. After all this time I’m finally getting into a self-care routine and loving on me for once. It’s been great being in the shadow and coming out into the light with a better understanding of who I truly am and who so truly want to be. So, I really am grateful for the pandemic and how I’ve grown tremendously.

What is a message you would like to give others? : Funny thing is, is that recently I have been challenged in overcoming my fear of communicating and speaking what’s on my mind. I would say to anyone reading this, please let out your feelings (in a healthy way of course) and say how you feel when you gave the chance. Holding on to the things that are beyond your control is only going to do more harm to you in the end. If you need help, ASK. If you feel sad, mad, angry, etc. say that sh*t with your chest. You have the control over how you choose to react to the world around you. Take the risk, be bold, be courageous and let your voice be heard. YOU have something that some else needs.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I would call myself an amateur writer and I have aspirations to one day write a book. I have always been a journal writer since it’s the best way I found that I can express my feelings. So, coming soon will be a book about life and how we can overcome getting in our own way.

🙂
