Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is Cameron London. I’m an artist & engineer from Hampstead, North Carolina. I started making music at 13 and over the years I’ve founded my own label, 1033 Records. I love to create music of all kinds but my specialty is Hip-Hop. Outside of music I’m an educator and the author of the “Kyren” series. The thing that connects my music and other ventures is charity. I love to give back to the community regardless of what form that takes. In 2018, with the help of my mom, I founded the “Bell-Jones Foundation”. A charity that focuses on aiding community youth.
What Inspires You Every day? : Providing for my family is my main motivation. Nearly everything I do is done with my family in mind. For the most part, I’m content with where I am in life. But the constant reminder that there are people that see me as a role model keeps me inspired and focused.
What is some words of wisdom you live by?: “Your name will go farther than you ever go” – Carrie Bell Jones
This quote that my grandmother used to tell my mom is one that I constantly remind myself of. With social media being so prevalent in today’s society it is far easier for you to be known in a country you’ve never stepped foot in. It is a reminder that all of my actions have the potential to be seen by the whole world. Whether they are good or bad. With this quote in mind I always strive to put my best foot forward in everything I do.
What is your ultimate goal in life? : I just want to see the people I care about be happy and healthy. Money isn’t something I have a strong desire for but it is a necessary factor to the things I want to do for my loved ones and my community. But overall I just want to see them happy and contribute to that happiness in any way I can.
How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : I had a near-death experience during the pandemic. In august of 2021 I had Covid and was in really bad shape. It was a moment where I kind of just accepted that that was it for me. But my family did their best to make sure I was as healthy as I could be and after about a month I began to recover. It was invigorating in a way. It gave me a new outlook on life that was focused on not only my family and friends happiness and success, but my own as well. It made me give my all to every single thing I’ve ever wanted to accomplish. It made me realize just how quick life could change.
What is a message you would like to give others? : I’d just tell people to try. With whatever it is you want to do, really try your hardest at the things you want to accomplish in life. I know it’s easier said than done, but there’s truly nothing that can stop you if you work hard enough and remain focused on your goals.
What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: Nothing really. I’m a regular dude, but I’m passionate about this. With every fiber of my being I know that if I keep working I’ll reach the goals that I’ve set for myself. And I genuinely hope and pray everyone else does to. To the fans from back in the day, to the new fans I’ve made this week. I appreciate all of you for everything you’ve ever done for me.
