Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: Hi! I’m zoë, I’ve been an artist literally all of my life. Painting & drawing is a big part of who I am, I also played roller derby most of my life and hope to return to it as it’s a big piece of me too.
I do my hair and others, I want to go to school for hair next year, I am passionate about hair coloring as well, I’ve always done my own and felt so expressive. Along with learning how to do makeup, it’s all just one big art palette to me!
What Inspires You Every day? : What inspires me everyday is the chance to do more and be better than who I already am, this wasn’t always the case for me, and some days are harder than others but knowing I have more to do and put out into the world, helps get me going.
What is some words of wisdom you live by?: Some words of wisdom I live by would have to be “dreams don’t work unless you do” which has been said around me a lot in my life. And is totally true. You can’t accomplish anything doing nothing, being uncomfortable is a good thing. It’s scary at first but taking that plunge is beyond worth it in the end.
What is your ultimate goal in life? : My goal is to be able to work from home solely selling my art, doing hair & murals etc. living comfortably and not concerned or living paycheck to paycheck.
I want to be able to enjoy what I do for a living. I do now, but being able to do so on MY time would be even better.
How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : The pandemic has been so crazy for everyone, I think I got to unlock a piece of myself I tucked away for awhile when I had to stay home, got back in touch with my creative side in new and different ways ( I decided to start up a TikTok)
And I enjoyed the time to myself, if I’m being honest. Not the circumstances by any means but sometimes socializing or being around others is….really hard for me.
What is a message you would like to give others? : To never give up on yourself. You can do absolutely anything you want to do, but if you don’t actually want it, you won’t.
If it’s worth it to you, put in the work. Even if it doesn’t seem important to others, what you do for you doesn’t concern them.
And then you’ll find the people who do think it’s worth it.
And enjoy it.
But you can’t stop! I believe in you!
What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: There isn’t much really, I work really hard at what I do now and I am an entirely different person than I was back in highschool which I think oddly some people still hold me to the standard of. But I’ve evolved and I’ve grown, I’ve changed and will never stop changing, I hope the same for everyone else.
