Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: I’m in my senior year of university studying for my elementary education degree. I grew up in Kansas City with my many siblings and my parents. I love spaghetti and coffee.
What Inspires You Every day? : My kids. I am an elementary school teacher. My kids are the light of my life. They bring me lots of joy and show me different perspectives on things.
What is some words of wisdom you live by?: “Love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life.”
There are many times that I would go to work and forget that I was being paid!
What is your ultimate goal in life? : To make it into the Teacher’s National Hall of Fame. I would like to win Teacher of the Year at some point. I want to be recognized for my creativity, skills, and new ways of teaching our future’s children.
How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : I’ve avoided getting Covid! Some of my friends and family members got sick, but we are all lucky that they have recovered. The beginning of the pandemic sent me into a depressive state, but I got some help and I am able to cope well with it now.
What is a message you would like to give others? : Treat others the way you want to be treated. I know it’s said a lot and it’s sort of a cliche, but people need to be reminded of this every day!
What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I am just lucky and appreciative to have all the experiences and memories that I have. I hope that I have affected people in positive way throughout my life.
