Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: Hello my name is Kokoa I come from a family of 13 and raised by my mom and day both were musically inclined my mom was a dancer and my dad was a singer/songwriter so I was born in it it has always been my first love and my favorite escape and still is. I started my journey in church both my parents turned there life around once I came into play my dad was more of a stickler and stayed with the gospels once he got into it my mom kept her R&B thank God lol I had to sneak and listen to it when my dad wasn’t around. I used to practice singing with my dad a learning instruments piano drums and dancing with my mom but once I grew up and was able to branch out I was introduced to rap music and fell in love with it so much and love the express and confidence it gave I immediately gravitated towards it. I grew up on Bone Thugs Tupac lil Wayne Jay Z Three 6 Mafia lol all of them. I started free styling right on my front porch at the age of 15 with my siblings.

What Inspires You Every day? : Well to be able to wake up and know that I can be better then I was the day before is always an inspiration.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: I love to live by this everything happens for a reason I say these because I went through a lot and something always happened that was out of my control but was always beneficial for me good and bad.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : My ultimate goal is to show my kids a different life, to teach them things I was never taught and to be successful regardless of any path I may choose.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : Wow well this pandemic was on a whole nother level of looking within, even though we had lose and it has been a tragic event I found some calmness in it, I was able to sit still something I was never able to do all my life and just breath. I gave me an opportunity to relearn who I was what my passions are and grow more spiritually, I had my bad days my pen and pad and music became mg best friend along with the walls lol. As far as the isolation portion of it it wasn’t nothing that I wasn’t already used to but my ass became single though lmao 

 anyways once I moved from Baltimore it has always been my goal to be by myself for a while so that I could change my life and my mindset and to learn to be more of a contribution because my life has always had a higher calling it so this pandemic actually put me back on track.

What is a message you would like to give others? : No matter what it is you are going through there is always away it may not be now but you will make it through and no matter what you do always give it your best.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: During the time of the out break is when I got back into the passion of writing and freestyling I also have a passion for basketball my dad taught me to play at a young age I have 2 children my oldest which is 18 her name is Aleara and my youngest is Tyler he is 9 both are pure geniuses and I’m not just saying that cause I’m a proud mom I love them with everything that’s in me.
