Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: Hello, My name is Jordan Rucker, I’m 20 years old and I live in Tampa, Florida. I was born in Queens, NY and my birthday is on the 4th of July. My mom was born and in Jamaica & My dad was born and raised in Queens, NY. I also have a older brother and younger sister. I currently am in community college working on getting my AA Degree to soon pursue a career in law! I’m funny outgoing and an empathetic soul.

What Inspires You Every day? : What inspires me everyday are my parents who always worked hard to provide for me and my sister. Seeing how both they worked and knowing the adversities they faced growing up and being who they are today! So that gives me the hope & inspiration I need to succeed everyday.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: “Always have a positive mindset” Having a positive mindset shows and allows anyone to control their day by choosing a better mindset instead of allowing negativity to cloud our judgment.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : My ultimate goal in life is to be Mentally & Financially successful! Mental health is so important when it comes to everyday life and the situations we face as human beings. Also, being financially successful is a goal of mine because I want to be able to provide for my future family and give back to my parents as well.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : I’ve been ok during the pandemic, The pandemic itself hasn’t affected me but its affected situations around me. I can I’ve completely changed before & after this pandemic.

What is a message you would like to give others? : A message I would give to other people is to treat people with kindness! Be nice to one another and protect your peace. Do what’s best for you and focus on yourself before worrying about anyone else. Be true to yourself and don’t let people tear you down.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I’m a Cancer so I see things from a emotional standpoint a lot but that also makes me the empathetic person I am. The adversities I faced helped me be the person I am today.
