Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is Gabriel Imus. Im the youngest of the three. My parents had my brother and got married straight out of high school. Son to Armando Samuel Imus and Senia Bernadette Imus. My older brother is Armando Imus Jr. My sisters name is Laila Bernadette Imus. My sisters daughter, my niece is also an Imus. This is my birth given family. We’re the Imus’s.

What Inspires You Every day? : Sound. Sound is what inspires me everyday. Music is my life. Music is created through sound. I love music, I wake up to music. I throw my headphones on after a good nights sleep and that’s what gets me going.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: I read quotes daily. I’m on the internet a lot, so there’s a web full of philosophy. If there’s one quote I’d like to live by, well my own quote is this.
“Never give up because when you see somebody fight that hard it makes life seem pretty easy, the more you give the more you realize pain is temporary but giving, giving lasts forever.”

What is your ultimate goal in life? : My ultimate goal in life, I would say, is to be remembered, to change lives in a way, it’s unforgettable. I used to say I’m on this earth to drop jaws and that’s what I believe. I want to be that person.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : The pandemic has changed many lives across the globe in ways that are extremely unfortunate, in ways I’m sure I don’t even want to imagine. Personally, the pandemic has been good for me. School was cut short, online schooling has been okay. I can’t complain.

What is a message you would like to give others? : A message I would like to give others is. God has a plan, for you, for all of us.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: My father passed away before I could even open my eyes. I don’t remember his face, I don’t remember being held by him but he did hold me. My mother was sent to prison when I was 14. I was fortunate enough to have grandparents loving enough to take on three Imus’s. They looked after us, took care of us, gave us a place to rest our heads and enjoy good food. I’m beyond blessed I am beyond great full. God is good, all the time.
