Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is Lyric Gay, I’m from Houston Texas. Currently I am a sophomore Business major at Thee Langston University.

What Inspires You Every day? : What inspires me everyday is wanting to achieve greatness while taking it one step at a time.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: I have a few words of wisdoms I live by the first would be wake up wanting to be and do better then yesterday, second is through every storm comes a rainbow, and lastly thing happen for a reason. What’s meant for me will be for me.
I stand strongly by these words.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : My ultimate goal in life is what anyone would want… success, to set a foundation for the next generation to come after me.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : During the pandemic I’ve truly found myself and my drive when it comes to facing life. Don’t get me wrong it’s taken a small toll on my mental health, but I feel it broke me down to build me up into a stronger women.

What is a message you would like to give others? : A message I would like to give to other is never give up on your dreams, it’s going to be hard, overwhelming, and stressful. I promise that feeling won’t last long. Everyone is meant for greatness its up to you to find it.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: Attending a HBCU is one thing I’ll never regret choosing, I can say it has changed my life, being around people of the same color really gives sanction and room for exploration while being around like minded individuals. Everyone is supportive of each other and doesn’t want just themselves to succeed but wants EVERYONE too. I love and adore my school LANGSTON UNIVERSITY go Lions.
