Name: Rico S.

Social Media Handle/Username: FedSen on almost every platform. SpectreFedSen on Twitch.

Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: Hello, my name is Rico. The quick info on me is that I am a father of two boys. My oldest has Asperger’s. I’m a husband. I am a veteran (8 yrs USMC). And I am a lifelong entrepreneur.
I currently work as a physical security consultant as my “normal” day job and then have a couple side hustles. I’ve been re-selling on eBay and a couple other spots, I run a custom shirt business that primarily supports some gym franchises in NE Texas, and most recently I have started an online store with the goal of bringing it to a brick and mortar in my town. I also do some online content, but it’s very sporadic.
Outside of my time in the military, I’ve lived most of my life in Maine and moved to Texas almost 4 yrs ago now. I prefer the south.

What Inspires You Every day? : Life in general. But on a more down to earth plain, my family inspires me. My wife is pretty badass and trying to give my kiddos the best lifestyle I can motivates me to keep pushing forward.
We only get 1 life that we know of, so I’m trying to make the best of it.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: Don’t sell yourself short. Every one of us has something special and we should tap into it. Don’t wait on success to find you, go out and make your own. No excuses, only opportunities. If we sit around and make excuses on why we can’t, then we never will. I set goals with full intentions of achieving them. Write ’em down. Manifest the energy to conquer them. It can be done.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : For my family to be taken care of and to not have to struggle unnecessarily. So they can enjoy life. So far so good.
To make that happen my current goal is to make my online store successful and to get that brick and mortar store going. I want to work for myself full-time. That way I can enjoy life and enjoy my family and friends without the restrictions of being bogged down by a normal 9 to 5!

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : Mostly fine. When the initial lockdown happened I was furloughed from my job for 5 months. Side hustle of making shirts went into effect to make sure financially we were still ok. Once back to work I traveled extensively during the pandemic without issues. This year everything has been pretty much business as usual. Texas has been pretty open and allowing freedoms much longer than the rest of the country so honestly we haven’t felt any different in general.

What is a message you would like to give others? : Be good to each other. Seriously. Stop letting others, especially the media and the politicians, try to divide us. That’s how they stay in the positions they are in for so long. They find excuses for people to fight and get divided and they exploit it to their benefit. We have to stick together as a country and keep our freedoms. The old “love thy neighbor!” Get offline and spend time with family and friends. Take time off social media for your own mental health (watch Social Dilemma on Netflix if you need to know why).
Me personally, I want to see everyone succeed! I cheer louder for friends and others than I do for myself. Be happy when someone get’s the W, don’t hate. If you are jealous, then go and do it better for yourself, but be happy for others while you do it. Good karma is a thing.
It might sound cliche to say “Be positive” but again, manifest that energy and use it to your advantage.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: We all have our differences, which is a good thing, but it doesn’t mean we can’t all get along. I’m pretty sure a lot of my personality and beliefs is quite different than most of the people I talk to online. But respect goes a long way. I love you all!

And if I could plug the side hustle, check out:
A great shop mostly for men or those who like men’s clothing (some woman’s items in the future)!
