Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: I’m Romain DBE, i’m a french boy from Cannes who love to create music and many things specially when it comes to make visuals and songs.
I usually create my songs with english lyrics since a lot of my insiprations came from american artists.

In 2018, i dropped my first mixtape called “nEwSwOrLd” on Soundcloud. it was such a rewarding experience as it allowed me to really experiment with songwriting, and a different style that I liked at the time, but we all evolve one day!
I remember my best friend who I made listen to literally all my songs was not a fan of my old music until I released this mixtape, I remember he loved my single “Won Again” and it was a real epiphany for him.

In 2019, I could finally experiment a little more and push the rope in the creation of my music, with my first Home Made Album “Symbolic”, I could go through different style and change beforehand with music that are much more “sung”, although I love to do rap, that’s why the whole album is dedicated to it.
I was able to release different single where I really found my voice and the direction I wanted to go in terms of flow, especially with “Silly” but also “Happiness” where I really pushed my voice to be the most mature I could, it’s a change from what I did in the past.
This album is literally my first baby, and for me it’s what really set me off in the direction I wanted to go, and the motivation to continue, especially when you see that many people in the world appreciate my work and my vision as an artist.

In 2020, I was able to release a 6 song EP called “Chill N Learn”, this EP is special for me because it has several songs that I love and especially one that I like very much and still today, “Shower Of The Lies” is for me the best single that I could release for the moment. I also like “Mountain Rain” and “Summer Walker” and I hope to be able to release such a quality video for these songs, unfortunately it will have to wait, we don’t know maybe one day.
This EP was a turning point as I think I have found my way in what I want to do musically. The R&B style that I never explored before gave me a lot of surprises and I really enjoyed creating songs in this style. Mixing it with Pop and Rap gives an impressive originality.
In 2021, I was able to release songs here and there, from “Thru My Veins” to “More” or “Final Battle”, these songs should be seen as a foretaste of what I will release soon and especially for my future projects where I really want to raise the bar very high.
I have already started working on my next project since the beginning of this year, and I am still in the process of creating it, perfection takes time and inspiration even more.

That said, I think I’ll still release a few more songs here and there, just to give people something to look forward to and to continue to give a taste of where I want to go next.

What Inspires You Every day? : What inspires me? I think that what inspires me a lot is all the moments I spend with my friends, my stories that I could live. Sometimes I like to tell stories or even to express things that I can only express in music and that would not make sense to express around a table. Music is really something magical and to express myself with such power is a blessing for me, especially if it allows me to inspire others.

What also inspires me is the American pop/rap/R&B culture, the best vocalist of this generation for me is Ariana Grande and The Weeknd, they both have a vibe that inspires me a lot musically, the moments that they had to live are really felt in their music and I feel all their emotions, that’s what I call true artist.
In terms of rap, I would say that the best rapper that inspired me would be Nicki Minaj, she will always have my support because I see her as she is and not how people perceive her, her strength is incredible especially when we see how she has managed the misunderstanding of the music industry in 2018. Before seeing her as a barbie I see her as a person, and she is really very talented.

Speaking of rap, recently I was able to listen to the latest album of Doja Cat, and I really like the universe she brought in her career, and these music videos are of excellent quality, real artists for me.
Honorable mention to Mac Miller who allowed me, thanks to his music to get up from difficult situation and who knew to inspire me enormously when I started to make music, may he rest in peace.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: If I had to choose a word of wisdom that inspires me a lot, it would be “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” by Nelson Mandela. These words evoke so much because if I hadn’t even started writing a song or touching an editing software, I wouldn’t be as experimental as I am today, although I still have work to do and learn in this environment.

So many things are inspiring and so many good people have said such interesting things that it would take me forever to answer this question.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : My ultimate goal in life is to succeed in what I’ve been doing for so long, to make music and be recognized around the world, to inspire others and encourage them to do what they want to do, to bring new concepts, new projects, to direct music videos, to be a project manager especially in video editing.

I think that if we are on earth, it is for something and the question to ask would be rather what do I bring in this universe? I think I have found my answer and wish to continue in this way to reach my goal. I have a very specific project in my life, and I intend to accomplish it no matter how long it takes for me.

I think it’s important to have ambitions in life, that’s what makes it exciting for me and what gives life a meaning.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : To be honest the pandemic inspired me a lot and especially during the first lockdown in France, a lot of ideas went through my head during this period which allowed the making of many songs.
Although during this period I had school and I concentrated more on my studies, it allowed me to give another vision on the world.

I’m not going to lie to you that it also allowed me to take a break, and I was able to rest a lot during this period.
I was impacted this summer by the COVID-19, thank God my family is fine (thanks to the vaccine) and I was the only one impacted.
Indeed, I was strongly impacted by this virus, I had high fevers for 3 days and it varied between 38 degrees to 40.
The loss of taste and smell was for me a real torture since I love to eat ahah, but it was only short-lived since I could find them a week later.

I assure you that having this virus has opened my eyes to what it really is and that I think that an older person who would have had it like I had it, would not be in this world anymore at this time.
I was able to regain my abilities and my shape of before, although during 2 weeks I was in a state of doing absolutely nothing and especially I was enormously exhausted.

What is a message you would like to give others? : Follow your dreams, it’s really worth it, have ambitions, work hard to get what you want, and above all a sentence that inspires me a lot is “work hard it pays off”.

Never complain about working hard, I know it’s easier to say than to do, but you really have to believe it, you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

Be healthy, you will thank me later.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: Just know that I’m doing well and that I have ambitions to push what I do, everything I do is not for nothing, music is for me a therapy that I share with thousands of people.

Although in my life there are ups and downs and that at times, I had the feeling that it was the end of the world, I relativize, and I know that I have my friends who are there for me and that maybe at times I dramatize a little too much for nothing.

I have been able to reconnect with many people with whom I had lost sight, and I have been able to meet new people with whom I get along extremely well, I would say that these are my brothers. Like real brothers.

For the people who stream my songs, know that I’m still working on a project and I’m still in the process of creating it. I also want to improve my quality of work, to do something much cleaner, more professional, I’m working on it, I try to do the most effort I can.
However, don’t worry, I will continue to release songs that technically wouldn’t fit in the project I’m building. Just to leave you with a taste of what’s to come and to give you a new vibe, kind of like what I did with the singles that came out of nowhere like “Thru My Veins” and “Carry All The Love”. I hope you will like the rest and that you will like my universe too.
