Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is Anthony, I’m 34 years old, devoted father of 2 and a half. My 3rd son is due in October. I grew up on the wrong side of the tracks with the wrong sort of parents, but was fortunate and determined enough not to fall down that same cyclical self destructive pattern as many of my family members have. I’m in property management, and an aspiring fantasy fiction author. I’m an avid fantasy football player, a massive sports fan and I play too many video games. I’m a big believer in doing the best you can to be happy or find a small victory each day.
What Inspires You Every day? : To put more time and more distance between my family and especially my boys, from the life I grew up. Every day that they don’t experience what I experienced, is a massive victory.
What is some words of wisdom you live by?: The single greatest currency in life, is not money, or gold, riches, or material things that can be had and lost, it’s our time. We all have a limited number of days on this planet, only so many hours, only so much time. It’s our single most precious commodity and we never get it back. So spend it doing what makes you most happy, with people or things that make you happiest.
What is your ultimate goal in life? : I want to become a published author, I also want to become an established screenwriter and produce television.
How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : I’m a natural hermit so to be inside and guarded as much as possible was not that drastic or a change for me, but that’s the opposite for my significant other. She is very outgoing and we had grown accustomed to having a sit down dinner every other week or so. It’s been hard physically and mentally on us both. Her especially though being pregnant during everything. Weighing the decision to take the vaccine or not and like so many others, gaining weight. It’s been hard but it could have been so much harder had we not had established financially secure professions. We’re incredibly fortunate in a time when so many others aren’t and it’s sad how everything has transpired and how so many people have just been left to fend for themselves.
What is a message you would like to give others? : Stay hearty during these trying times. Seek out small victories on a daily basis. Doesn’t matter what it is, trivial victories stack up and can lift you up. Take care of your mental health and if you have dreams and aspirations, go out and take the first step in accomplishing that. Easier said than done, it’s taken me what feels like a life time to even take one step in the pursuit of my dreams, but that first step is the hardest. You can do it, I believe in you.
What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I believe that all disputes and dissension in life can be solved with tacos.
