Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is Kid Squid, I am a struggling producer/podcaster, trying to create a sound for myself. I dropped out of college and have never had a real job. I hope I never will.

What Inspires You Every day? : Being inspired implies some divine intervention that comes down from the sky and puts this motivation in your head. That’s not how life works. You have to inspire yourself to keep going by just doing it. Inspiration comes sporadically and never stays long. You can only keep it up by being consistent on all the days you aren’t inspired.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: Nothing matters in this world, we’re all just electrified meat on a space rock, we have cultivated a world of suffering for no real reason. We didn’t have to invent taxes, and deforestation. We just decided to, so we can undecide to, too. Anything you think is important, 10 miles outside your town, no one will ever know it happened. Ghenghis Khan killed so many people the lowered the temperature of the earth, he had so many kids, like 0.5% of the global population is a direct descendent of him at this point. We spent 25 minutes on him, one day, in high school history. That’s the impact he’s actually had. So don’t take life so seriously, just do what makes you happy until it doesn’t anymore then move on.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : I just want to enjoy my time and spread joy to others, or if not joy, give them a strong emotional catharsis with my music. So many people consider music to have saved their lives at some point, I don’t need to go that far, but if I could induce a cathartic emotional break through, that would be amazing.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : The pandemic has separated me from the person I love most in this world. It’s been incredibly tough. There’s no substitute for human connection.

What is a message you would like to give others? : Don’t let anyone tell you how to enjoy your own life, do everything you can to help others enjoy their lives for themselves.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I really enjoy trying new, interesting drink flavors. It’s not really a hobby, but if I see a drink flavour I haven’t tried, I will probably try it.
