Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: I have survived the fires of hell throughout my life and regardless of what the devil throws my way I will not only survive but I’ll thrive. I was kicked out of the house at 13 and have lived in the woods while pregnant with 2 kids and still went to school and graduated from HS 3 days after my son was born. I’ve had 6 kids and lost 3. I’ve been homeless more times than I care to count because I always give far more than I get. Material things have never been that important to me and when I rise my only goal is to reach my hands out back into the pit of despair to bring others back to the light and give them hope. I don’t fear falling since I already know the demons in the depths and have always clawed my way back out. I’m the Phoenix that rises from my own ashes again and again. 4 years ago I lost everything when my semi was blown over. I had what I could carry and my chihuahua. Most would have given up. Instead I started over again working 19 hours a day driving a taxi to pay for my chihuahua and I to live in a motel until I could afford rent to move into a basement apartment and continue rebuilding. Today I own another trucking company and am roommates with my sister helping her with my nephew so we can both thrive again. I’ve faced struggles and challenges throughout my entire life, but I will never go down without a fight. Ultimately I will use the earnings from my trucking company to open my foundation for the homeless with an addiction problem and I’ll be able to help many more people before I die. It’s my life’s mission to help those who have been abandoned and left in the dark to show them the light and that they CAN survive and come back stronger than they thought was possible.
What Inspires You Every day? : My dad. He was a single father to 2 girls and no matter how little we had financially, we saw him sacrifice so that we could have. My grandmother was the kindest human I’ve known in my life and I strive to emulate her. Some days I do better than others.
What is some words of wisdom you live by?: If you see someone in need, regardless of what you have, share what you have because true wealth lives in showing compassion to others. It’s the only thing that matters in life. Money will come and go, but being a good and honest person will always reap the most rewards.
What is your ultimate goal in life? : Peace and happiness
How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : I’m an introvert so not having to interact with people has been pure bliss.
What is a message you would like to give others? : No matter how bad things appear or the worries you carry for bills or money or love be grateful because you have far more than many others on this planet. You have clean water, food-even if it’s not what you want you have something to eat- and a roof over your head.
What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: Never give up hope. The day you stop dreaming is the day you die.
