Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: I’m a first year student currently studying Law in the UK. I enjoy reading, playing the guitar and socialising with people (when we’re out of lockdown of course). If it wasn’t for studying Law, I would’ve been really interested in History or English. I’m really into music, so I listen to all genres and so far my favourite artists include Rina Sawayama, DEAN and H.E.R
What Inspires You Every day? : God first. I give thanks everyday for my life and the life of the people He brings my way. Also my parents, because they have worked so hard for me to be here. The least I can do is make them proud.
What is some words of wisdom you live by?: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,”
It means I should look out for others and never hesitate to help someone in need. We should do our bit in society and not expect to be praised or recognized. It’s our blessings people will see.
What is your ultimate goal in life? : Just to be happy. I don’t know how that will happen, but I hope it includes a family, my dream career and for us to be comfortable. Also to have a better relationship with God.
How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : It’s been mainly good but I find it frustrating to be stuck at home and can’t meet with friends, some of whom I haven’t seen in almost two years, while some people are living like it’s their last day on earth. But lockdown also means online learning, which I absolutely hate. I thought my uni experience would’ve been a little better so I’m a bit disappointed.
What is a message you would like to give others? : Stay strong during this time! And if you’re not feeling great, turn to your loved ones and let them know! Life’s too short to be unhappy, even in circumstances like this. You are loved and you’re beautiful!
What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I have an obsession with Ancient Egypt. I’ve had it since I was 7, and then I watched a show called Os Dez Mandamentos and I love learning about them even more.
I also love learning about Ghanian culture, because we have a very rich history and I want to know more about when we used to be an empire.
