Name: Kaity

Social Media Handle/Username: itskaiito

Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: I’m Kaity! I’m 26 and I’m a full time streamer on twitch.tv! After graduating college with a bachelor’s degree in Film & Media, I decided to pursue streaming full time. I mostly play a variety of games but my personal favorites are Call of Duty and World of Warcraft.

What Inspires You Every day? : Other successful streamers. Seeing people making a great living and seeing how they inspire me makes me want to do the same. I look up to a lot of people on twitch, and the idea that others look up to me inspires me to keep going.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: If you want something bad enough, you’ll make it work. I streamed off of an iMac with 1 monitor and wifi. It was horrible quality but I loved it so much that I saved up all my money from streaming to buy better equipment. I’m now running on a dual PC setup with 3 monitors and some great peripherals.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : To retire early and to genuinely be happy. I’d love to save my money and hopefully buy a beautiful boat and just sail around California full time with the love of my life and my pets.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : Fortunately because of my job, it requires me to be inside on my computer most of the day. So I haven’t felt much of a difference in my lifestyle because of the pandemic. I feel so bad for people who are super outgoing / social butterflies. I’d be going mad if I didn’t prefer to be inside all day haha.

What is a message you would like to give others? : Stop living by what others think you should be doing. Only you know you! You know what’s right, you know your boundaries, and you know your limits. It is going to differ from others. Don’t let other’s success or failures determine how great you are. Everyone’s path is different in life.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: As much as I loved streaming and hated school, I think it’s important to finish. I see a lot of people dropping out to pursue this career and it works for some but not all. I’m really proud of myself for going to college and earning a degree I worked hard for. It’s a different kind of achievement and satisfaction knowing you did something that a lot of others choose not to do. I think that’s important to keep in mind and I hope others see it too.
