Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: hello, my name is frederick. i am 19 years old, born and raised in washington, d.c. (the capitol of america) i’m a 2020 high school graduate, i’m a libra, i love colors, having fun and pop culture. currently thinking on further my education and returning to school. maybe majoring, in psychology or theater arts!
What Inspires You Every day? : what inspires me everyday, well WHAT inspires me. is ariana grande, and nicki minaj. mainly most most of the pop girls like gaga, katy, rina sawayama and so on so forth that are on my stan list. those are strong women i look up to and that inspires me everyday, with their captivating voices & charisma.
What is some words of wisdom you live by?: “live out loud!”
“express yourself don’t repress yourself”
“rise and redefine”
i feel those words/saying are def things i live by because i believe we’re all here to serve one purpose and that is to be ourselves unconditionally no matter what! rise above the hate, and judgement of others and continue to persevere!
What is your ultimate goal in life? : to be successful and find genuine happiness. hopefully get married & have a family, also making living doing something i love.
How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : physically i gained weight lol but mentally… low key drove me in insane just being stuck in the house and the doing the same thing over and over. it became so tired, plus i really hate wearing a mask i cannot breathe wearing that shit. lmao but it affected my senior year of high school the most. i wanted to end off my senior year on my terms but unfortunately covid “i think tf not” and just took it all away. but, it’s cool. i ended up graduating high school anyway, proving everyone who have doubted me wrong! i was victorious.
What is a message you would like to give others? : live your life with open arms, embrace your flaws, never be afraid to use your imagination, be colorful, break the rules, be confident, have fun! and most importantly…ALWAYS live your truth, and love yourself for who YOU are.
What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: well, i grew up with a learning disability. when i was younger, it was extremely hard for me to pick up reading and any other subject in school. i used to think i was worthless and would never pick up anything. the movie “the color purple” starring Whoopi Goldberg really inspired me as a child, to push myself to read & study. i saw a lot of myself in whoop’s character in that movie. and i am entirely grateful for that movie for inspiring me and so many others. i have come such a long way, with figuring out who i was a person, and i’m still working on myself one step at a time.
