Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is Talisha Burey! I’m 22 years old and enrolled in University for Forensic and Psychology. I am the Jack of all trades, I make videos on my channel (TBURBERRY) and I have a business that I have partnered up with my best friend, which you can check out on Instagram at @holymink.

What Inspires You Every day? : One point I can’t stress enough about is to worry about nothing pray about everything. I have reached the point where I inspire myself. Finding self-awareness was a turning point in my life. When an individual can turn a negative situation into a positive one. I have turned scoldings from my parents into lessons, turning heartbreaks into motivators and built standards, and building healthy relationships with those I come across is inspiring.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?: “Every dark night turns into day,” especially in times like these where you can easily become overwhelmed, unmotivated, unproductive and etc. You just have to push through to wake up to that better day.

What is your ultimate goal in life? : My goal in life is to be happy. I don’t want to take any opportunity for granted. I want to be able to take care of my parents and show them the world. I want my business to flourish (@HOLYMINK) and my channel to grow. My goal in life is to live for myself ultimately and do the best that I can at it. I won’t ever make myself uncomfortable to make someone comfortable.

How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : The pandemic has shown me a lot about myself and others. It placed everyone under a microscope. I learned about myself and things I didn’t want to uncover in myself. The pandemic forced us to deal with our traumas, our goals, our habits, etc. The pandemic can play with your psyche but coming to terms that you’ll have those days. This experience will make a lot of us better but it did take a lot from us. R.I.P to those that have lost their loved ones during this time.

What is a message you would like to give others? : Always trust the process because what may be for someone else may not be for you. People my age seem to be so hard on themselves but there’s so much for us to do. Don’t look at what other people have because you don’t know their process to get it. Pay attention to what you have to offer and build on that.

What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I’ve learned not to take life for granted because anything can happen. I’ve lost a lot, but I’ve gained a lot. You have to appreciate life because being as young as I am. The first quest in life should be to love yourself and don’t bring your experiences into your new. If you don’t heal what hurt you, you’ll bleed on people who didn’t cut you.
