Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is Ryan, I’m 21 years old and I’m from a small rural County in Maryland. Ive kept my circle small almost all my life, like most people do around here. I went to a very very very small elementary/middle school and when it was time to move on to high school, I knew absolutely nobody. I never really played into the idea of acting different or changing who I am in order to impress people and gain friends, i just kept being me. It worked out, I had loads of friends and I can confidently say that most people were very fond of me. I found some of my best friends there when I thought I never would. I met the love of my life there in home room and have been with here since and haven’t looked back. I played football and baseball there and that was a blast. In 2018, I graduated and was off to college. I got there, moved in, said bye to my parents, and realized that this place was for wacko’s and I was not ever gonna fit in there. I spent one night there and packed up and went home. I ended up taking a semester off by accident but got right back to school after that and I’m still just working towards my Business degree. I’m a very simple guy. I spend Monday through Friday getting my school work done and making sure I have everything in order for that week. Then the weekend comes around and I am a huge sports fan. I spend my weekends watching whatever sport is on, placing bets on it, and drinking brews with the boys. That is literally just about my every weekend routine. When summer time comes around I head to my beach house most weekends and just spend time sitting on the beach with my friends and family.
What Inspires You Every day? : When I was 18-19, I had trouble answering this question. But now a days, my inspiration every day is clear. I am inspired by my girlfriend above all, I’d say. She brings the best out of me. She makes me want to do the best I can in school, she makes me want to excel at anything I embark on. She is my biggest supporter and is always in my corner. Life with her and being able to hopefully provide a good life for her is always on my mind. She has supported me through everything, the least I can do is do anything and everything in my power to make her proud. So yeah, I would definitely say that she is my inspiration every day.
What is some words of wisdom you live by?: Hmmmm words to live by…. I wouldn’t say it’s anything too deep. Like I said, I usually stick to my guns and just crank through life LOL, but I would say that “don’t let your dreams be dreams, just DO ITTTT” from Shia Lebouff is incredibly strong advice. Any hesitation in anything is never good in my opinion. If I’m doing something, I hate pussy footing around. So I do try to dive head first into everything I do and get it done.
What is your ultimate goal in life? : My ultimate goal in life is to have a healthy and happy family with my girlfriend and to just experience every ounce of life her and our friends. We both hold our friends extremely close to our hearts and I feel like it’s a little family. If those people are happy and we can continue to spend this time on the weekends together, forever.. that’s when I’ll be happy. It’s hard to say I have a set ultimate goal in life, I really just want all my friends to make it. I want them to be successful. I want them to be happy just like what I want for myself. But most of all I just want us all to be together forever.
How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : I’ve been perfectly fine. I often hear all this talk about how miserable 2020 was but I consider it one of the best years of my life. My girlfriend was home from college for a very long time. I prefer online school cause it’s easier and on my time. My parents jobs were safe, there was no real pressure economically like there unfortunately is for so many people right now. My mom, dad, brother, and myself all did get Covid around Christmas and New Years, so the timing of that sucked, but it didn’t really affect us too much. All in all, other than the masks being a pain in the ass in stores and stuff, I’d say I have had very little negative impact from Corona
What is a message you would like to give others? : The one thing I’d want to say to others is treat the ones who love you with respect and love them back twice as hard. Take care of those people and make sure you never lose them. Friend groups and family are what I consider to be my pride and joy. Sure they piss me off some times, it’s not always sunshine and rainbows, but you need to be able to step back and be able to see just how important the supporting cast is to your happiness. That’s what I do. I couldn’t imagine life with out those people. So yeah, hold those people you love right and never let go.
What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?: I’ll get a little fun here. Just some quick fun facts. Like I said early I bet on sports a lot, it makes watching that much more interesting. I love Busch beer, I literally swear to God it’s the best beer on the market and it is not just because it’s cheap. I love the outdoors! Give me a day in the woods by a fire all day long. I’m a Ravens fan, I love my Lamar Jackson. I said it already, but I am a small circle dude, I even only go to a select few restaurants just because I know I’m comfortable with them. The 2019 LSU Tigers were the best college football team of all time, that’s a fact. I drive a large Silverado, then people assume my willy is tiny and I’m compensating for something. But hey, I’m a jokester myself. I think it’s so incredibly important to laugh at yourself. I think that that’s one of the most important traits a person should have. People are too damn serious these days. I can laugh at literally anything, it’s important I think. So yeah, this was really cool. I think it’s hilarious a guy like myself somehow got picked for this, but I’m excited to see how it turns out. Thanks so much.
