Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself: My name is A’joyna Nared. I come from a low income community. Honestly, I feel like life has been a blur, but I also feel like life has been shown me the greatness I carry in myself. My past has certainly played in a part in how I’ve grown as a person. There’s been so much self-discovery and new passions evolving that I can hardly contain my excitement. I’ve been realizing what I’ve been missing and it feels good that I can show myself new beginnings.
What Inspires You Every day? : Something that inspires me is the motivation of leaving the ghetto for a better life. After all that I’ve been through, I feel like leaving a area where my mindset could grow even further is the best thing to do for me. I want to be able to accomplish so much more than what I’ve grown up seeing. I refuse to become another statistic because I know the things I dream of are possible.
What is some words of wisdom you live by?: Some words of wisdom I live by is to always give life a chance. I think it’s good to experience things whether they may be good or bad because at the end of the day there’s a purpose to everything you experience either it makes you or break you.
What is your ultimate goal in life? : My ultimate goal in life is to be successful. I want to flourish abundantly and then take care of the people who stayed in my life.
How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you? : The pandemic has affected me in a lot of ways, but it’s brought more good than it has bad. I feel like my eyes have been opened to the world in a different way and more than ever it’s time to keep hustling. I also feel like this is the time where people have connected more than ever. I love how much I’ve discovered about myself and I’m glad I’ve had the opportunity to work on myself throughout this pandemic.
What is a positive message you would like to give others? : Be kind, but be aware. Be kind to all you come across because you never know what the hell people are going through, but don’t assume that everybody has good intentions. Make sure to be in spaces where you are appreciated and never allow someone to undermine you. Love yourself enough to leave situations that make you question if you are loved. No one deserves that.
What questions would you like to ask others?: What has life shown you? Do you feel as though you did all you wanted? What do you feel was your ultimate lesson in this life?
