Lily Nascimento: My biggest dream is to work at Nike as a photographer.

Name : Lily Nascimento

Instagram : Ly leocasgocy

Introduce Yourself? : Hi, I’m Lily, some call me Lil’s others Lily pad, I got so many names.
I am 25 years old born and raised in Angola(Africa),3 siblings and loving parents, but I moved to South Africa when I was 20 years old to Study. I would say that I have seen and felt a lot. But fortunately I am annoyingly optimistic, that’s what made be where I am now. I couldn’t finish my studies (Graphic design) and every one was telling me that I wouldn’t get a job without a DEGREE. Now I work fulltime as a graphic designer. I get disappointed every day, but I am too busy being happy.

What are your inspirations & goals in life? : My biggest dream is to work at Nike as a photographer. I always tell my friends: one day I’ll work at Nike, even if is as a cleaner but at least is at Nike(hahahaha)
One they I will be able to give hope and make dreams come true. I will be able to show the world that Africans are not just those hungry kids that they show on the ads, but that we are strong and talented as well.
I don’t want to make a difference.
I want to be the difference.

What is your view on the people in our world today. Be honest!? : In our world today, people are more worried in having something than giving something. We are so focus in making it happen now than thinking how to keep moving if doesn’t happen. My generation gets depressed for anything, it is sad. I remember when I got depressed because I couldn’t buy the TV I wanted. I had to snap that silly thought out of me, because it was really stupid. I realized that we are so quick to take than to being thankful.

What are you truly passionate about? : People.
Sneakers (hahahaha)
Photography
Food

Describe yourself in 3 words? : Weird
Happy
Dreamer

How would you contribute to bringing our world closer together? : I would give food.
I believe that feeding someone if the best way to show love. We all get hungry at some point, so we know how it feels. In my opinion is easier to fix something that you know how to deal with. Food always brings people together.

Anything else you want to say? : I love my parents.
